Lexi strikes me as the Rickie Fowler of the LPGA. Marketable, well-known but ultimately not at the same level as the best on tour.

She did pretty well with bubba at that tour event.  And she trains with Joey D.

why say she’s not up to Par?

to be honest, i would love to see her go w/ mizuno. would she be the only lpga staff player?

Sei Young Kim is on their staff and Olivia Cowan got her LPGA card at Q-School late last year.

Does anyone know if Lin XiYu (Janet) has official links to Mizuno (subsequent to that 2020 kerfuffle)

edit: Looks like XiYu has been using Callaway clubs in 2021 (per Getty images)... pity, would’ve been a prominent ‘coup’ for Mizuno/ China golf market?

Let me be perfectly clear.  Women golfers, from the highest handicap senior player to LPGA pros, are disrespected every day.  It's a cultural thing most everywhere around the planet.  Always been that way and it likely always will be.  Mizuno nor any other OEM would have ever done that with any male touring pro.  IMO.

Maybe except in S. Korea and Japan.

The women golf tours in the above 2 countries are far more popular with larger purses than the men's tours there.

Especially in S. Korea.....if there was a lot of disrespect to female golfers....they'd be losing a lot of opportunity in purchasing power....so many Korean women addicted to golf...then again the whole country is addicted to golf.

We have a ton of Korean golfers here....I see the addiction everyday....quite a few public courses here where the tee sheets are filled with Korean golfers.

Maybe, be we are, of course, speaking of a Japanese company disrespecting a Chinese LPGA player.  Presumably if she had been Korean or Japanese it wouldn't have happened.

Today is today...and it was long ago...but not to be forgotten....but there are still some scars due to times of war.

Koreans might feel the same way..... as Japan also occupied Korea in WWII.

You do have a point...if Nasa was in the same situation as Lin (no major OEM sponsorship at the time...though she used to be a Cally pro long ago)...I wonder if Mizuno would have turned a cold shoulder to Nasa.

I'm kinda thinking Mizuno would have behaved the same way for another LPGA mid range pro ....with no nationality bias.

But maybe rather than blame Mizuno....maybe we should blame the Mizuno rep that declined Lin.

This would be surprising as I thought they were moving away from the 'normal' golf market they were trying to get into and focusing on their high end stuff again only.

ohh, I didn't know they switching strategy again ,  she would have been a great fit for them !

Assuming she left on good terms with Cally, Lydia could return.

Wie & Pressel are no longer Cally ambassadors and I don't think Saso's new contract was overly expensive.

Wie is gone? What a bust.  Nike and Sony got hosed she was a small slight fraction of her potential.

Tina's GREED has burned a lot of bridges with the OEM's making The Death Star's job that more difficult.

If the above picture is accurate....then I think Tina is allowing her fellow countrymen to rent the space on Lydia's hat for peanuts until she can shill an OEM.....I think Tina should contact BJ...just sayin.

Lydia was already sporting a Hana Capital logo previously.

Let's see what sticks Lydia uses on Thurs.

Titleist picked up Danielle, and Lydia's "big sister" So Yeon last season. I wouldn't be surprised to see her with a Titleist bag, but I think a Hana Bank bag is more likely.

Except for Titleist's premier male pro endorsements....Titleist doesn't typically shell out huge bucks....so that eliminates Titleist from Tina's short list....unless Tina's desperate nowadays.

I can't recall any LANDMARK Titleist endorsements of any LPGA pros.

It really is a guessing game what sticks Lydia will use.

It really shows that the OEM's are being more stringent who they will sponsor.....The Death Star knew long ago in 2021 the probability of a PXG renewal.

I wonder if she is going free agent route for now. She’s got Hana Bank on her hat this week.

Not unusual as Cristie Kerr who was with PXG for several years left and continued to use PXG irons for a good while afterwards.

Risk you take when sponsoring an athlete. I have a feeling they’ll both recover 😉

Okay, we’re well into page 5 now… Still don’t know anything about her “new equipment deal”?! 😆
