What's the loudest driver ever?

What driver have you hit/played has been the loudest at impact? I'm kinda interested in knowing this as I am very hard of hearing and I would like to hear more of that cannon sound!

The Nike like others have posted or Wilson spine. Was almost embarrassing to hit the Wilson spine because how loud it was.

Ping G30 LStec also deserves an honorable mention.  Sounded like hitting a metal trash can with an aluminum bat.

Cobra L4V and Cleveland HiBore XL. I think the L4V was louder, but the HiBore really made like a screeching sound whenever you hit the ball.

 

Seems that with the square drivers mentioned before and the HiBore, the more irregular it is shaped, the worst it sounds.

My srixon 765 was pretty horrible. It's still a bomb machine for me though. Really need to hit it on trackman to see what the #s really are.

Interesting. I’ve never hit a Srixon driver or known someone who played one. I’ll have to try it one day and see.

Another vote for the Cobra L4V here. I think they're some of the best drivers ever made, but wow - they are loud.

My personal driver is the r1s, that's probably the loudest of the ones I've played. Loudest would be the square drivers that others have mentioned. Oddly enough I've played with someone that had a knockoff version of the square drivers and it wasn't that loud. I guess it would help that she probably doesn't swing it fast enough to make it loud.

In the early 2000’s there was a Nicklaus Air Bear driver. IMHO that was the most unique and piercing sound from a driver. It was replaced by the Nike Sumo - which stands alone on top of the pinnacle of most unique driver sounds.

The original Nike Sumo Squared Driver and Cleveland’s line of Hi-Bore Drivers.

 

We purposely own a Sumo Squared and bring it to the range every now and then to annoy people.

Cobra X speed and XX speed. I had some direct from Acushnet for LD and did not add rat glue to keep the SW more manageable with 48 length. Would literally sting your ears with hard range balls.

I had an Adams Super S. People actually would look up at the range when I hit the thing.

Cobra F-speed was  also pretty loud. Played it for years and the L4V briefly. Both loud.

The Cobra F6 was also just awful.  I bought one without hitting it first, took it to the range and immediately went home and posted it for sale.  Sounded like a softball bat.

Basically every loud driver ever manufactured has been named here so I feel I would share a moment I experienced probably 8-9 years ago. My father in law and myself were waiting on tee box one chatting and preparing to go off and heard what sounded like a metal bucket being dropped from a point it reached terminal velocity hitting a sheet of steel. We looked over and a fella teed one up a little too close to the aluminum tee box marker and basically hit it with his driver. Ripped the adjustment hosel right off.

Non OEM category. Bang Golf's Big Big Bang 525.  Made the Nike SQ and Cobra drivers sound quiet in comparison. Played behind a group in a scramble some time back in which a guy used the Bang driver. It was ridiculously loud. Guy hit the ball a mile with it.  Was amazing to watch.
