How Many Clubs Do You Actually Game?

Clearly, everyone on this forum is somewhere between 27% and 84% crazy/golf-ho (a small subset are probably closer to 96%, but let's not be mean). We all have bought and sold clubs, sometimes with giving them a single swing, sometimes not swinging them at all, but bought them just because. Most have extra irons or wedges or old drivers or putters just laying around too. No judgement. We're all in that club-ho boat together.

But how many clubs do you actually game? Since we're only allowed 14 at a time, how many of the 1-7 dozen other clubs that you (probably) own do you actually, regularly, take out onto the course?

I game all of those in my signature, putters in rotation, although don’t have the Cleveland yet, awaiting delivery. Depends on the season as to which are in my bag, currently not in my bag are the 818 19* Hybrid and the 5 iron. For softer ground they’ll be back in at the expense of the 64* and ANOther club.

Pretty much set with modern clubs send make changes. When I play my hickories, I tend to rotate between 3 sets of irons but keep the Brassie, Cleek and putter the same,

I live in 2 places on opposite ends of the world, so at a minimum the 28 clubs from those two whole sets. I usually do not rotate much in, but I also very seldom sell clubs. I also occasionally play a couple sets of vintage, so probably around 50.

9 went minimalist at the beginning of the year and still love it!

I use a lot of different sticks from my stash every year. Our season started late this year, one round in mid April, followed by a week off, and with some spotty weather since. Point being, I've not played all *that* many rounds this year.

And in those rounds so far, I've used five different drivers (J33R, King LTD, SLDR, R510, Eye2), a couple fairway woods, two different hybrids, five different putters, three sets of irons, and six different wedges.

By the end of the season, it might get embarrassing. LOL

8 most rounds, sometimes 7, and 9 on the days I want to play my "full" set.

15 except in competition. I pull out either 3 wood, 17* hybrid, 3 utility or 4 utility depending on the golf course. I sometimes carry an extra driver or putter...so sometimes 16. The game is fun to me if I’m tinkering and trying **** out. I’m not a real range rat so the course is my fitting center. Lol

13 total clubs for me but I only play/carry 9 or 10 of them.

This is me to a T. I will sometimes play 4 different iron sets in a 5 round stretch. It often just depends on how I feel that day. I've currently got stuck on my Eye 2's though. Have a nickel and Copper set of ISI's that I've never hit before waiting in the wings for new grips. Then they'll enter the rotation.

13 clubs. Got rid of my previous set

When im testing on course I might have 18-19 clubs in the bag lol. Those are the fun days. Normally i have 14 though

I usually on carry 13 clubs, but I have a 5 wood that occasionally goes in the bag.

played last week with my full set and shot about the same as with 9 clubs, I'm all in on minimalist from here on out.

14 is the magic number for me.

I carry 14 and depending on the course I might only really use 7-9 of them.

I carry 14, don't rotate anything else in. I don't blame the clubs for my own lack of ability, and going back and forth isn't going to help me at all.

I only own the 14 in my bag. They work, I'm comfortable with them, no reason to add anything to the equation. Clubs are fit for me so any issues are my fault.

Usually 12 or 13

I've been playing the same 14 all season. I have a backup driver in the locker that has not even sniffed the light of day so far. Very unusual for me.
