I watched him in that 4 some at Seminole in Juno Beach, FL earlier in the year with Rory, DJ and Wolff. He was was the shortest hitter out there and is not a tall guy. Rory is not tall but he is more jacked. I think Rickie has this determined look on his face. Maybe he is mentally tough. He is long enough and just keeps plugging away at it.

Rickie is really good at being a professional golfer. He makes a lot of cash through scorecards and endorsements and seems to enjoy the lifestyle he’s earned. He also is a big philanthropist (as many pros are) and an overall great guy and representative for the tour. Not every guy out there lives and dies to win every week, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m sure he wants to win, but he seems to just enjoy life and that’s a really cool thing. I still pull for him every week.

I disagree. He's got an extended body of work and his talent level is a guy who wins basically every other year. He's been needing captains picks for the national teams and last year was an injury replacement after not getting a captains pick from his neighbor. You are what your record says you are. That said could he win a major? For sure; he's ranked in the neighborhood of where Lowry and Woodland were last year and is roughly that level of player although both of them are now ranked higher I believe.

Rickie has the same problem as Spieth, that being the driver. How many times has he been in contention the final round and BAM! he hooks it off the planet and the round goes in the crapper. Just like Jordan, he shows signs of brilliance and then unexpectedly steps on a land mine. From my observation, his swing is such (flat swing plain and whips through the ball), that if timing is off just a hair, it becomes a crap shoot to score.

Rickie's game is probably not going to peak much more than it already has. He certainly has the potential to win a major and 10-15 tournaments and thats not a bad career. I'm not a Rickie apologist, quite the opposite but the media does him no favors by promoting him 24/7 and discussing him in the same breath as the games elite.

I think hes the greatest cautionary tale in golf business. There's no telling how great he could have been if all the work put into haircuts, hats, and clothes went into golf. I like the adult version and think hes got a lot of really good golf left.
