Appears due to the location of the face screws to be something to help with low face strikes. After all, faces are already maxed out for Characteristic Time(CT) purposes.

I'd love to see both fairways be sleeve adjustable. It would be nice to have options for those who have shafts and don't want to pull adapters for the M4 type woods.

TaylorMade was kind enough to invite me to their launch event last week. While I can't yet share any details, I will say that everyone at TM was extremely excited about what's coming. I also had a chance test out the new products and from what I saw they should be excited. More to come!

Every time I’m out. They pulll me back in. If this thing is foamy behind the face and feels good. Going to be tough. My rogue gets on my last nerve unless it’s absolutely middle. As in I just don’t enjoy hitting it. Bad I know. But on that front I miss my m1. I hit it in the woods more. But it sounded good while going ob. Lol. Why can’t I have both. ?

I remember on DVD where one of the guys had the face horizontally braced and the GM kept saying "how do I sell this when it's on a shelf"

 

Again not saying this was a copy but it does make sense. I highly doubt the screw it's self will have an affect but it does get you talking which then leads to asking why it is there....

No way it is a copy. Tm would have had to infiltrate Wilson r&d to get that info in time for their own analysis, testing, prototyping, and production setup. Timeline doesn't fit...

To those of you that have seen the new drivers, is the red color they used for the screws anywhere else on the driver? It seems kind of weird to have red screws on the face instead of matching them to the orange/black color scheme.

The extreme toe and heel placement and horizontally attached make me curious. Callaway’s bars are more centrally located (and vertically oriented) within the clubhead and see great ball speed retention across the face. Will these help as much?

No idea if this has been mentioned yet since there are so many pages to this thread but I’d guess they have something to do with increasing stability on off center hits as well as the benefits from the vertical style jailbreak tech. My guess is they help reduce torque of the clubhead caused by an off-center hit, this giving you less curvature and straighter shots. Aka the next generation of twist face. Just my 2 cents as I have no inside info.

I was hoping for the same thing, however, the M5 fairway has a loft sleeve and the M6 fairway is bonded.

That's a pretty bold color against a dark face on a club most wouldn't want to see any distractions.

TM would have to do something 'gimmicky' and 'visible' so they can say 'Twist Face' is no longer necessary!

Whatever the next new 'gimmick' is, TM will likely claim it has eliminates the need for Twist Face'

 

When you look at the TM's history, it's clear the best TM drivers have been those without 'visible gimmicks'.. :yes: .
