I was told the tour pros wanted the line on the driver. That’s why it’s there.

Thoughts on address?

So no flash face tech in the sub zero 3 wood? Or just scoring lines to stay traditional?

I'd guess not, but good question.

There wasn’t Epic technology in fairway woods either if I remember correctly

Why oh why that line...

...exactly my sentiment. Would have been much, much cleaner without it. The photos makes the line look real cheap but this could totally change when viewed in real life.

This has to be some Odyssey putter/line sight influence thing, make no sense otherwise...

For me when addressing the ball outside I really didn’t notice the line on top. I see the face angle and overall head shape more than anything.

Why aren't playing callaway wedges to match your bag :)

Curious if the flash head was so heavy you needed a CB shaft to reduce swing weight?

Not a fan of Callaway gear and that line is a cheap knock off from Tm and another reason I won’t be buying

Lol, I have to ask, in what way is this a cheap knock off of TaylorMade?

They are using the line as a way to add contrast on the face like TM has done with the M line but they don’t want to/can’t be seen having the two tone crown so they have used this line to imitate it. It looks ridiculous imo

I wish Cally would have used a different color at the break point but that will not stop my from giving this one a go. If it performs better than the others, it will go in the bag immediately.

Fairway woods look clean, and I like that they don’t seem to have too tall a face.

It’s amazing that companies can make woods any sort of forgiving with that much wasted weight in their adapters

I see what you’re saying. I guess I’m just of the opinion that I want to wait and see what their official take on the line ends up being. To us on the outside looking in, all we can do is try to compare what we see in pics to what is already on the market. Once we get the inside scoop our assumptions might be way off.

I just really like the look if the T7’s better. The head was actually a little lighter which was good as I ended up putting 4 grams of hotmelt in the toe as I prefer a more fade biased head. I tried a 4 gram heavier back weight slid to the most fade setting and it did not provide enough fade bias for my liking, so I used hotmelt instead. The backweight slider is in neutral now, so I can adjust either way now if I want to.

Agree, Callaway is the worst in terms of chunkiness. Ping was, imho, the best but they have gone to another iteration with the G410 (which I am not happy since I was keeping an ATMOS shaft with the olf G400/G adapter and now it's useless unless I pull it).

However, to Callaway's credit (for good and bad), they kept the same adapter for the Epic Flash driver. Good thing as well, don't want to kill your old Epic and Rogue customers who enjoy their shaft. I remember when Cobra switched their adapters for the new Bio lines and that made me swore off Cobra drivers and haven't even bought any Cobra drivers since.

The thing about the Callaway adapter I like most is the ability to keep the shaft orientation the same as you adjust the adapter.

Hmmm, flash numbers the local rep showed compared to ts3 and rogue non sub zero was shocking. I didn't mind the line as much as it reminds me of ft3...my old love. The sound was not my fave tho, loudish and not pleasing crack or the muted I expect. The look isn't bad at all, sound can be augmented and performance with that face looks like the real deal especially if you are a slightly above the center striker...the numbers there which is where I strike were redonculous. If you center strike same as others, if you low strike straight but similar. The biggest difference was just above center I hit slight toe side but center too was +15on rogue non sub and ts3. Supercomputer face did increase mass in the area just outside center for more pop

Very happy to hear this. My miss is high toe and hit some of my best and longest drives with epic SZ high toe.
