what wedges are most people playing these days?

Mizuno JPX-900 Forged PW (44), GW (50), Titleist Spin Milled SM-5 54 and 58. I do have a Spin Milled SM-6 50 degree as well, but haven't done enough practice yet this year to figure out whether or not it will replace the gap wedge that matches my set. I think it will end back up in the bag, the GW that matches my set seems to come out a little hot on full swings.

I play 46*PW, 52*G, 56*S, and 58*L. If I could afford it, I would love to get a 50/54/58 set-up. But, I deal with what I've got and I can make it work.

 

On a slightly separate note, it seems like the pros are paying a lot more attention to the top part of their bags than the bottom these days. The attempts of the various tours to deal with distance have placed more of a premium on longer approach shots and having a variety of options off the tee.

Edel variable length 51*, Hi-Toe 58, Hi-Toe 64 (bent to 65). Don't really care about the larger gaps because I can take some off a wedge way easier than a mid-long iron and the Hi-toes go a long ways on a full swing. During season most courses I play are firm so ground game is more of an option. Tightened up my gaps in the 240-180 range for more scoring opportunities on par 5's.

i15 PW at 46*, sm7 52f, sm7 58d. I like hitting half, 3/4, knockdown shots with my wedges and probably my strongest part of my game. I’ve found it suits my game better to try and master 3 wedges vs standard gap filling with 4.

I’m rebuilding my bag this season... not sure what I’m doing on wedges. Have a pitching wedge and 50 that I like... I’ll probably default to a sand wedge and lob wedge as I’ve carried both forever.

So I just got my sm7 58/12 and 54/08. The 58 is great. 54 was thin every time and didn't feel nearly as nice as the 58.
