Just ordered the SIM Max in 10.5. Throwing my black DI 6x into it to bring spin up a little. Funny thing is when I did the shaft recommendation thing it recommended the same shaft. Sometimes it pays not to sell stuff lol.

Not really. My order went in on 1/13 and arrived at the retailer on 1/28.

It’s probably dependent on customization I would assume then and what they have readily available in stock if they’ve sold out of a certain shaft or grip or something.

I would agree with that. Could also have a bunch of orders hit in the last week. If several big retailers put in big orders a couple of times a week then you get get stuck in the back of the fifo line.

Got a SIM 10.5 with Ventus Blue 6s. Got to play today but it was 45 degrees and wet so hard to give it a full review. What I can tell you is my carry distances were up there with anything else I have played even in the cold. Feel is great with a nice muted sound. It does feel a touch light but once I swing the club that feeling goes away...... Sounds weird but that's the feel to me. Ventus blue shaft (real deal, not some made for) I was skeptical with the fitting being a 6s and wondered if I should have gone with an X. My fitter was right that this shaft is stable at speed. This is an excellent combo.

Both have the Regular Ventus Blue 6X (Not velocore) with the standard grips. Nothing too special is the only reason I am asking. Ordered from the same shop I always do and have never had an issue.

Ordered a SIM yesterday (Friday afternoon) direct from TM and already received the shipment notification less than a day later, and on a Saturday no less.

8*, std length, Ventus Blue 7X (real deal Velocore). Can’t wait for this arrival. Have the same shaft in my current gamer Ping G410LST and can’t imagine ever switching it out. It’s that good.

I ordered on the 15th and got mine yesterday, if that helps. What the CSR told me is that if you change anything at all from the stock options, it goes into the custom line and will take longer. If it's just small changes, it'll get there sooner, if it's a whole lot, expect a wait.

Also the club isn't supposed to be available until the 7th, so anything before that is a bonus. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

When I got fit from TS3, 410 LST was 2nd best to SIM Max. If people are leaving LST/410 to go to SIM/SIM max its a testament to how solid the SIM is. Because the 410 series is legit.

First day out with my new SIM 9* yesterday. Wasn’t hitting well on the driving range but got on the course with gamer balls and hit nothing but long, straight bombs, five going 300-330! This coming from a G400LST that was good for 270-280ish. Couldn’t be happier, decided to add a 3w and hybrid as well!

So another strong golfer/tester getting too low spin (sub 2000) with the SIM leading to the ball dropping out of the sky and spinning off line? So could he have optimized the settings to increase launch and spin from the SIM and then outperformed the other 2 drivers?

First round on course and have to play with lead tape instead of the 2nd weight in the front track since it broke. There is a huge difference in putting added weight in the track vs lead weight on the sides of the weight protrusion on the back of the sole (sorry, not saying inertia generator).

Put 4g of lead tape on the toe side of the back of the sole and the weight in the track toward the toe and this thing was a hard fade machine. Moved the 4g lead tape to the heel side of the back sole and the front weight toward toe and still hit big fades. Put the lead tape back in the toe side of the back sole and the front weight toward the heel and I found what seems to be perfect balance.

Will replace the 4g weight in the front track and play next week to make sure on course performs like the range.

This driver is hugely different depending on where weight is.

First round with the SIM 10.5 turned down to 9.75 with Ventus Black 7X. Very impressed, super straight and nice flight and spin. Definitely an improvement on M5. Only thing is how shallow it appears but I can definitely get used to it if I keep hitting it like I did today.
