288 is the furthest drive that I have ever hit that didn't benefit from either a tailwind or a shenanigans late August hard pan bounce. This is at 4500 feet or so in South Dakota.

scramble at Firestone. Won the long drive last year with a 347 yard drive. Calm conditions but the ball was carrying a bit more than usual .

No idea. It’s always another player in the group that wants to calculate how far it went.

340-350 range. Was an elevate tee box on a par 5, I wasn't going to break 100 after a really rough blow up on the previous 3 holes. Basically said F it and was just gonna reach back and step on this drive, well the stars aligned and did everything perfectly and then some. Barely saw the ball in the air because it wasn't in my usual high fade/slice but friend tracked it and said it was just straight and high, saw it land and didn't roll out because ground is soft at this course. Decided to go for the green and proceeded to top the ball and hook it into the water and back to reality I came.

Thought I had already posted in here, maybe there was similar thread...anyway, summer of 2018 Scotland trip. #18 at Royal Dornoch- it was downwind but not excessive, but very firm fast fairway and I nutted it.

Left with ~95 in on a 425 hole. Hit to '15 but missed the bird.

Great memories, esp now with who knows what chance to go back to UK anytime soon

had a couple on monday that qualify for longest no cart path drives for me. at 4,700' altitude on rock hard fairways though. no GPS to confirm so total distance may be off.

first: it's a 535y par 5, fairly straight, pin in the middle of the green, no wind. bomb my drive and ball ends up about 2 paces off the fairway to the left. laser to the pin reads 140y on the dot. stick it to 8 feet and drain the eagle. feels good man.

second: it's an uphill 419y par 4 into a light breeze. pin's at the front left edge of the green. blister a drive (easily best all day) that nestles up to the first cut on the left side of the fairway. laser to the pin reads 30y. green is raised about 10' with nothing but thick rough between ball and green. ok, i'm short-sided with a slightly awkward lie. i haven't practiced this shot in months, but let's try to get cute with it anyway instead of taking my medicine and aiming for the middle of the putting surface. leave the next two shots in the rough short of the green and almost give myself a f*****g aneurism. walk away with a 1-putt bogey from 12'.

good grief, what a game. 🤦‍♂️😆

I've hit many drives that have gone over 300 but the longest would be one I hit in summer of 2009 at El Calallero CC.  It was well over 100 degrees that day.  9th hole which is a par 4 severe elevation change down hill, almost 460 yards.  I hit one which started at the right edge of the fairway and came back with a 20 yard draw.  The fairway was baked and hard that day.  The ball carried just short of the 100 yard marker, hit and rolled out quite a bit.  Had 60 yards in.  If I remember correctly, I hit that drive 395 yards give or take 5 yards.

Comparing my game now to my game before taking a 7 year break is depressing especially when we talk about distance.

That said, longest drive of the year was 302, but season ending average is 268.

Back in the late 80's. 368 yards, dead calm wind, dead flat ground, temp in the high 80's. I started it at an oak tree about 300 yards out down the right hand side and hit a draw. It kept going, and going, still in the air as it passed the the tree. Ended up by the 150 yard marker on the left side. Hit approach to 9 feet. Missed the eagle putt, of course.

I hit a a few par fours back then in the 320-330 yd range.  Caved in the face of some early metal woods.

We played here in Chicago last Sunday with the ground nearly impossible to get a tee into and the course playing really fast because of the firm fairways. As someone who feels lucky to poke it 250 on occasion, the 290-320 yard frozen fairway gifts were a delight on the day and reminded me of how old I truly am.

Longest Drive was 312 yds this year. Was a 312 yd Par 5 with a tree in the middle of the fairway...hit a Draw on the right hand side that went around the tree and carried to Tee height on the right side just off the green! Should’ve been an Eagle, but poor chipping hurt this season!

All of these at the Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah GA.

Hole 16: About 385 yards total. Had a tail wind of about 15 mph, and it bounced on the cart path once to land in the green side bunker. Probably carried 335 or so.

On hole 11, I had a similar instance with 3W but it went 343.

My favorite long shot was on hole 2 with my 3i with a 25 mph tailwind went 315 yards total.

Hit one ~397 on the Pacifico Course @ Punta Mita, Mexico. It was men's day, and we were playing a fun little scramble format which had us up on the ladies tees for that hole (for every birdie you moved up a tee box, par you stayed put, and bogeys you moved back). It's a par 5, and the hole was playing about 405 from the ladies tee that day. Don't think I've ever hit a drive as flush as that one, and it ended up about yards short of the green. Definitely aided by a downhill slope on the initial bounce & roll, but it did go back uphill about 50yds short of the green. Hole is at sea level.

And don't let this story fool you....for every drive I hit super long & straight, there's about 87 others that I don't.

Probably this one, helping wind for sure...happened to be during a charity long drive contest on that hole too, it won me a new Callaway driver that I get to finally pick up tomorrow.
