There are a few online retailers who have the option to order individual irons.  Congrats to all the guys that ordered today.  Hope they show up sooner than expected.

I would shop around if buying non-standard shaft. Retailers are charging different amounts for up-charge shafts.

Srixon has their upcharges out there right now. Retail prices are listed. Some places charge less. I know what my costs are when I buy. Do your research.

I was tempted to order today but I actually scheduled a fitting for the first time in my life a week or so ago. Earliest I could get in was 1/19 so I will try hard to not be a HO and hold off on my order. Likely going to full set of ZX5 from Z785...or might go combo 5/7.

Blind as well. Had some solid help from @fairways_and_sneaker who knows a ton about the product, and helped me land on the 4-P on the 7’s, with the option to combo in the UT down the road if necessary.

Ordered just over 3 weeks ago, so likely any day now.

I would have ordered the same set, but unfortunately these shafts seem not to be an option in Europe. Which shafts are you playing in your current irons?

I went blind but had a fitting with 585/785s so not totally blind. I've played the same shafts for about 4 years now and know they work. Always the same spec too. Hoping mine ship soon.

great move, i am considering the same thing but coming from 765/565 probably a great idea. Once you find the perfect shaft these irons are gold.

i know a lot of people love these and  I know Srixon is a great brand.....but I am not in love with these......i feel they are very chunk at address and look like you are hitting with a ping pong paddle.....the cavity designs are something we have seen a few other times with other manufacturers.....i was excited for these but i think ill look at Mizuno or Titleist for my new set.

I work at big box store and I order blind. The guys at the store fall in a couple of camps: 1. Test as much as possible and pick the best one (small minority 😅) 2. Based on our biases toward a company) 3. Based on what fits the eye.

But we all kind of touch each camp. Personally, the shape is my reason. 'Square-ish' top lines are hard to come by - so Srixon  it is for me. Titleist t100 are too hard to hit for me and the Mizzy irons are to 'roundish'

check them in person, they look way better in hand 

ping pong paddle is probably the worst analogy you could come up with, they’re not blades nor do they claim to be.

They designed the 7’s with a bit more topline forgiveness and the 5’s with a bit less topline forgiveness so they blend seamlessly. (Identical topline in fact)

Pro’s are going 7’s in the long and/or mid and Z Blade onward since they’re the best and don’t need extra forgiveness

SteelFiber's 110 Stiffs, very different feel. Both are great non-steel options though.

Anyone go weaker in the loft on the 5's or 7's? I had the z745's briefly and don't remember them being low launching low spinning, but I am low launch already so don't need help with that. Thinking of the 5-pw on the x7's one degree week except for the PW. Maybe an x5 in the 5 iron 2 degrees weak.

 

My company is allowing us to get reimbursed for golf clubs as exercise equipment this year! So I need to be buying something new. Thinking about building an entire backup/secondary bag.

9, 1* weak

PW, standard
