In my virtual fitting the other day the fitter mentioned that low ball hitters will like the Prov1. He said the new balls will be like they are now with the spin and flight and both balls are better in his testing than the 19 but with the new design even the low ball hitters will like the v1

If the 2021 balls fly and spin similar to the 2019 balls they will reach almost an identical peak height (based on my testing and YT reviews). I’m wondering why low ball hitters will like the 2021 V1 ball? I think we’ve reached the point with the Pro V1 balls that the biggest differentiating factor is feel.

I always played the prov1x since it's debut (10 years).  Then when the spin spec switched, I changed to the prov1.  Now when I pull out an x, it sounds and feels like hard plastic and I don't like it.  And the left dash is long being so low spin, but it feels like I'm playing a pinnacle gold or something it's so hard.  So buyer beware... once you go soft, it's hard going back.

I feel you 100%

I don’t believe the balls will spin the same as the current version not at least in each aspect do the game. The new x spins more around the green. From what the fitter explained to me the dimple design and overall new design will give low ball hitters a good flight window.

Just received a test "white box" sleeve of 21 prov1x........softer putting but my issue is that spin looks to have increased with the new version.......I'll try a 21 v1 but until then, I'll stick with 19 prov1x as it fits my personal needs described by my man @erock9174

That matches what the fitter told me on our call.

good luck with the white box balls

What about trajectory?  The 19 prov1 flights lower/spins less than 19 prov1x......are you saying 21 prov1 flights and spins like 19 X and 21 X is higher in both spin and flight along with being softer(which it is)?

The 21 version of the v1 will have the same flight trajectory of the 17 and 19 where they will fly and spin lower than the 21 version of the 1x. The 21 1x however does get a bump in spin especially around the greens

Thanks bud......probably just stick with 19X as I have stock and pretty comfortable in what it does

V1x spins even more? I'm pretty stocked up on the current V1x as I like it the most, especially in the wind. I could play the current V1 and be fine with it but the V1x seems longer off the tee for me.

is it low spin mid trajectory right for 2021?

The fitter didn’t describe it as low spin or mid trajectory. He doesn’t have a lot of info on the ball and still only has white box version of it for another few weeks so the trial packs being sent out by them after the fitting are the 19 version.

I would think based on his comment to me that low ball hitters wanting the softer feel would be happy with the 21 version of the v1.

Man, if the '21 V1X is softer feeling and higher spin around the greens I am interested. Sounds very similar to the Tour B X which I love.

How does the 2021 ball feel off the putter? A little softer than the 2019/20?

Yes a tad softer.

2019/2020 is a brighter 'tink'

2021 is a bit more muted

both still overall firm balls off the putter, but 2021 is a notch softer.

I found 21X to have MORE spin throughout the bag.....but for me, not in a good way.....19X has been very, very good into the wind on a nice high flight .....whereas the 21X just might be ballon-y -er......softer/duller off putter but that's it.....I'll try it again but not expecting much

So you feel the '21 V1X spins more than Tour B X? I am def intrigued and looking forward to try. If it is as long as Tour B X off the tee it could be the new ball. But I LOVE the Tour B X, so if it is better than that......

This is the findings of an old weak guy needing spin and launch hence prov1x......I don't recall the prov1x being as long as tp5x or B-x balls but caveat being greenside/approach spin is better/appropriate for ME! Even throw the Srixon xv in there......the 21X does feel duller/softer slightly but it ends there.....looks like added spin causing weird, unexpected shots ......I'll try it again but first impressions,  I'll stick with 19X

I received my Titleist 2021 Pro V1x last week for testing. I live in Connecticut so I'll need to wait till our golf season resumes again to truly test them but that didn't stop me from hitting them in the simulator. The ball felt great and it produced some of the best numbers I've had in the simulator. I cant wait for these to come out. Does anyone know when these are supposed to come out or when the official release date might be?
