Have an 11 yr old son also and can’t imagine him handling the spotlight as well as Charlie is handling the PNC...Tiger & his mom must be incredibly proud!

I’ve seen tons of good juniors. Great juniors. 
 

I can count on one hand the number of juniors with great swings that also have the confidence, poise under pressure, and innate course management that I saw this weekend from Charlie Woods. He already has the thousand-yard stare of a veteran walking down the fairway while in the hunt for a win.

 

Add in cameras for a nationally televised Tour tournament and we were witnessing a special talent.

 

Now, that doesn’t mean he will amount to anything at all in 10 years.  But he has genetics and infinite resources on his side if he maintains the passion.

hard to believe that grown men would be so intrigued by a kid's bag...  I guess it's the reality of tiger's life.  

 

although reaction has been largely positive, it would be nice if we can give them a break and leave the judgement out for the kid's game and his bag.

For sure! I will say that the more I watched the tournament, the more I started buying the hype because of his poise, his feel, and his chipping...but definitely too early for the amount of pressure/expectations everyone is putting on him with all this attention. But no doubt he has incredible potential and could be very special if he wants it and keeps working at it!

Based on his WITB he looks to be in a very similar setup to Tiger's. Pretty insane to see an 11yo rock a full 3-PW setup and do it well. Impressive stuff!

Most impressive to me was how good he was with the wedges...seemed crafty and it total control with his wedge play. How many times this weekend were his chips closer than Tiger’s? Incredibly advanced for his age!
