Enjoying the performance of the tsi2 still going to go head-to-head with 425 Max, a little disappointed in face wear only had it a month, played 4-5 five times and two range sessions . And you can tell it's pretty forgiving off toe hits ha

That doesn't look right after a month.  What kind of range balls are you hitting,  sharp rocks??  Seriously I would show the place you bought it.

You must hit that a lot during the course of a round 😂 Looks like you have sandy soil and range balls to me.

I’ve had mine for about 12 rounds and it still looks almost new.

I've never played Titleist before so I just wanted to make sure this wasn't normal didn't seem right it was to me , here's my G30 that I'm replacing that's what's 7 or 8 years old that looks to have about the same wear

Man. I’ll post a picture of my TS2 hybrid. Only two outings on the range and no rounds and I noticed the face already looks beat up. I was hoping the tsi range had better wear durability.

Balls at the cc range are typically in decent shape. They get swapped out when in bad shape.

I was looking to find a replace for my 08 Burner. It’s so hard to find one, my last experiment was g410 and g410 lst. I went on trackman, range and to the course and it just didn’t feel good. Pulled the trigger on the tsi2 w/ tensi white. Very good looking club, the sound and feel is something I really like. I feel like if I played around with shafts it can be a gamer... In the meantime I have a g425 max on order 🤭

Wanted to see if you made the decision on what club your sticking with (425 vs TSi 3 wood)?

I wanted a Titleist TSi 3 wood - did a fitting and found that the Ping G425 gave me the best dispersion and distance / ball speeds (and gave me the trajectory I was looking for).  I did like the look/sound of the Titleist a bit better, but I went with the numbers.

Got their 5 wood, then added the 3 wood.

I think that I fit the profile of their stock Ping Alta CB shaft better than the 3 shaft offerings I tried from Titleist...

I really do like how flat the Pings sit at address though.

I’m still waiting for my 425 3w. I ordered at the beginning of the year and it has still yet to arrive. I was bored so I built a Sim Ti with a di7x to play with. I’m actually pretty pleased with it on the range. Haven’t yet to play with it on the course. I’m thinking of playing with another shaft for the Tsi 3w

I have my TS2 4 wood for over 1 year, you can only imagine how bad it looks now.  I thought it may be sand or range ball but my other hybrids are all fine and this explains it.

Same thing happened to my TSi2 3w when I got it.  Brand new, we took a trip to PGA West in La Quinta...  I hit two balls at the range before the round (very sandy) and it looked like I had been playing it for 6 months.  I will see if I can find a pic but I was pretty disappointed.  I also brought my 917f2 which I used the next two rounds out there and noticed nothing of the sort on its face from the range or course.  Took the TSi2 back and kept the 917.

That said.... I recently picked up a 425 Max 3w and good Lord... it is a beast.  Also lives up to its name forgiveness wise so that is a really good thing as well...  I loved the G400 3w, from and accuracy standpoint, but so far the 425 has that and the distance is far better.  I did also demo the LST and it was really good, too but the Max forgiveness is what I was looking for.  It's an absolute cannon.  It won't sound as good as the Titleist but the performance isn't even close for me so far.  Ping wins.

I think I bought your G400 3 wood didn't I? I'm still playing it.. it's phenomenal, can't imagine a better 3W but the 425 sans-turbolators looks pretty tasty

All TS and TSi woods are greatl, I was blown away by the forgiveness of the TS2 when it came out. It was the only thing to ever kick out my G25. But no one will ever convince me that there is an easier to hit FW than a Ping.

You did!  Glad to hear its treating you well. I will say, the 425 is longer but has that same g400 feel and forgiveness.  Don't change if it works, but if you were curious, its worth a look!

Update: my 3w came in yesterday but they made a mistake and the shaft was a rouge 80x not the 70x I ordered. I could care less because I had a shaft I wanted to put in so I just took it. Went this morning to the range and wow was I impressed. I loved the tsi2 and the sim I built was cool, but this shaft was actually not that horrible. I have an extra di7s so I put that in and pretty much performance was the same. Waiting to go on a trackman. Something about this new head design just looks and performs better for me over the g410/g410lst 3w. For craps and giggles I brought those to the range also. Same results for me. Going right back in the closet.

I decided to order the Ping G425 fairways and hybrid over the TSi. From all the reviews it just seems the Pings are perfect looking with the matte black. Seem to be just a couple yards shorter than TSi but better disperson. I have the TSi3 Driver, so I guess if I cant handle the ping sound Ill just sell and get the titleist...

Played titleist drivers for the last decade. Had a TS3 I liked. Tried TSi and 425 (first ping driver I’ve ever hit). I now have 425 LST driver and max 3 wood. I’m longer with ping by a good margin due to the fact that I just hit it straight. I don’t have to steer it and it frees up my swing to go at it. TSi might win on a robot, by functionally the G425 is longer and straighter and better for me.

Seriously guys, how the hell are you playing you fairways and what kind of range balls do you use?

This is my TSi3 16.5* after +20 rounds, but more importantly - at least +20 range sessions focusing only on this 4w.

I see no difference in wear whatsoever compared to all other woods I’ve been using during the years.

Mine didn't look that good after the first ball I hit, I ended up switching the G25 Max and after a bunch of rounds almost no wear , maybe it's the sand down here in the south

I just started the snowbird gig this year, I can concur that in 15 Florida rounds, I’ve put more visible wear on the clubs than my 65 rounds per year in the Northeast.

If you’re analyzing torque and sending out tweets, you have no clue what you are even looking at.

The OEM’s have actually added torque with better materials to improve feel and performance.

Revitalizing this thread (minus the pissing contest from page 1).  After tons of testing I've decided that the G425 14.5 LST is longer and more forgiving than the TSi2 heads in both 15 and 16.5.  The G425 max head spins more, as promised, but I get better results from the non-max version.  Almost bagged the 16.5 Tsi2 but went with 425 for length.

Curious what others landed on who have tried both?

How much longer did the LST carry for you than the max?
