I would personally rather watch a competitive stroke tournament than watch the Ryder Cup.

Haven't watched since Stockon claimed 91 RC was the "war by the shore"

Former military and that's an insult.....what's Tiger's or Phil's or Jack's RC record without a Google search?

But we know 82/15, 73/18, 44/5 (wins/majors) don't we?

Wishing Westie the best at Augusta, soon.  At least he bettered Bryson today.  And 2nd place is a large bag of cash for the Brit and his new gf.

Can we rate the majors by the purse?  The Players offered an incredible $15,000,000.

What will the Masters, the USOpen, the BritishOpen offer?

US OPEN was 12.5 mil

Anyone else think steve sands interview with jt after the round was out of order, for some reason going on about tiger when this was probably jt's second biggest win, shouldn't have even mentioned tiger, and then clearly mentioning his grandfather in a way to purely get him upset, just a ridiculous interview imo

Thought the same thing, hardly asked a question about what he did out on the course today.

Steve Sands has had a number of awkward and gaffe-prone interviews over the years that were perpetuated by him that never should have taken place. Steve Sands looks for an opportunity to make an interview standout for whatever reason he can create even if it is to the detriment of the interviewee, or causes him damage. That's his modus operandi and he doesn't care about the backlash.

There are two things you can learn by stopping your backswing at the top and checking the position of your hands: how many hands you have, and which one is wearing the glove.

I think Amanda B does a much better job of post-round interviews; she avoids the ridiculous / controversial questions

Yeah ... I can't wait for the answer to her patented "how does it feel to be you" line of questioning.

This Tournament reminds me how good/great JT really is......DJ has that consistent anti-left shot and just doesn't miss much; Rory had that pretty high draw

But JT has shots throughout the bag .....his soft arm irons , draw fwy woods, steady cut Driver (especially going back to TS3)

And a super tidy short game ......

It would have been much better to ask JT a couple questions about the round.  "Was there a turning point out there for you?"  "What does it mean to you to set a weekend record at the Players?"  "Can you take us through your drive on 18?"  "Or the drive on 16?"

Westwood's attitude was great today ... for somebody content to make a lot of money and bring home second.

Did anybody actually think he was going to win? Even after he made the late birdie, even after his drive on 16, you just knew he was going to find a way to not win. It's who is and what he does.

And it's great that he has his fiance on the bag, looks like they're having fun (and saving 10%!) ... but it feels like a concession. The  72nd hole was the perfect finish ... once the pressure was off, perfect drive, nice approach, dead center putt, exit stage right with an extra $500,000. But now no trophy.
