Phil is a pilot, so he's rockin' the aviators.  Maybe prescription.

I wear prescription sunglasses.  I got tired of asking my buddies if they saw my ball.  Best move I've made.

I think at first glance some may view this as a frivolous thread, but in recent years I've started wondering about damage to the eyes through sun exposure during a round.  I've tried hitting shots while wearing sunglasses, and just can't get comfortable with it.  Looking down at the ball while wearing them just isn't comfortable for me.  It's like the depth perception is off or something.

 

So I've ended up wearing them, but while playing a shot I prop them on the bill of my cap like below.  Looks dumb, but oh well 🤷‍♂️

The key is finding. Pair that you don’t see the frames on.  I have an Oakley pair of prisms that are wrap around.  I forget they are on when it’s bright out. It’s about time to break them back out.  Havent needed them much in the winter.  Seems like every round I play is with threat of rain or just after. Never sunshine.

I got to walk the 3rd and 4th holes at Firestone with him. He invited my Dad & I to walk along during a practice round.

I’ve always said the reason Adam Scott was a less than great putter is because God gave him talent, terrific golf swing, a great personality and looks - he couldn’t also let him be a great putter.  Wouldn’t be fair.

Phil, yes. It's a winner for him, he's chosen wisely. 
Bubba, seems to have gone the route of what I see a lot of fishermen wear, not sure of the style but it's seem more form over function.
Duval, probably the all time best.  The style and his game/personality just seem to fit right.

That being said I don't know why more tour players don't wear eye protection.  I for one never go out in the sun without sunglasses.

 

Frattelli's are terrible. Phil's are vomit inducing. Duval's went out of style in the 80's but he held on tight.

Are you sure? I think I remember him sending out a tweet or something after he won, before the last Ryder Cup, saying he has an Italian passport as well. He still might not be eligible though, I'm not sure.
