You obviously don't know what I am referencing. Do some research on Hidecki and putters. He is rumored to have the largest Scotty Collection out there.

Tiger did the same thing in 2019 on the 18th. Couln't find the green either, was way right/short. Managed to get a bogey for the win though. But, that also felt a bit anti-climatic indeed. For just a sec.

I see. I didn't know he collected Cameron putters as I left the Cameron putter collection world back in 2007 and never looked back.  You think Hidecki's collection is bigger than Rand Palis' or Bill Vogeney's?  Or even Frank Beard's?  I probably won't research that because Cameron collecting isn't an interest of mine anymore.

As someone that currently lives in Japan, he is a great for the game of golf here in Japan and world wide.  He was the first Japanese amateur to play in the Masters at 19 and now he is a winner with a green jacket.

Yeah, I felt the same letdown when Tiger bogeyed the last for his win, but at least he had a more difficult shot from his drive.  It's a big accomplishment for Hideki nonetheless, and that jacket's gonna feel the same regardless.

Don't think he choked, he won.  He pushed a shot right.  That is the benefit of a cushion coming into 18.

 

They don't pay you more for winning by more strokes.

The question was posed to Scotty himself about who has the most Scotty Putters and he bet them they couldn't guess. He said Hidecki easily. Now whether or not he was talking collection among tour pros or everyone around who knows. Makes else though as he usually shows up on the putting green with 10 of them at least.

Try Doug Meijer.  15 years ago it was said he had 2000 or more.  He built his house about a decade ago it was said he had a vault built with biometric access. Supposedly Scotty would send him one of every new model. 
 

I know a guy that has over 100, less than 500.  
 

I doubt Matsuyama has 2,000+ putters.

I am not from Japan or from Japanese descent and my favourite foods are Japanese food. His favourite food could be southern BBQ???

 

Having said that given I am a dual citizen of the UK and Canada, if I won the masters, I likely would not go with my favourite foods (the first time) but go with dishes from my homeland(s) to 'represent'.
