You can see from the closeup pics at the bottom of page 2 that it is a 340g head.

This is not a backup to his original GSS Cameron & Co putter since this new putter is a Masterful head and that concept was only created in 2015 by Scotty Cameron.

I saw where he said that his head is small and Nike custom makes his hats....but wouldn't they do that for him in the Ryder Cup if he asked? He's pretty much always going to be a lock for the team and they have plenty of time to custom make him a hat. I have a small dome, too...but I've never had an issue finding something that will work. Not saying I don't believe him because that would be a really, really weird thing to lie about especially from one of the most honest guys on tour.

Nice find! I was just thinking his old Cameron & Co seems to have 3 bombs in cavity. 
 

Anyway, maybe he’ll put this in play for a few more tournaments.

Im not sure he can. I bet he has no contractual obligation at the Olympics, likely not the case while playing tour sanctioned events

I was also JUST thinking about all the weird excuses he came up with for not playing in the previous Olympics. Zika virus, then trash talking the whole idea saying it was stupid, then saying he didn't know which country he'd represent.....it was just a mess. I like the guy, but his putting isn't the only thing that gets yippy sometimes. 😄

Yes I remember hearing him say it in an interview and then saw it again in either a golf or golf digest article

It’s also weird seeing him wearing adidas. I guess Nike can’t sag anything either since it’s not PGA sanctioned golf.  I see his pants are adidas so assume the shirt too

Adidas has the clothing contract for some and possibly many of the Olympic golf participants.

Maybe. However using the USA for example the USA teams have other manufacturers supplying uniforms for specific sports. Ralph Lauren provides the outfit for the athletes in the open and closing ceremonies.

Look at his results from 2019 and the start of 2020. 25 events played. 19 top 10's in 2019. 4 wins. 7 top 3's. You don't pull that record off w/o great putting. He was using a TM Spider X. His first 4 events in 2020 before C19 shut everything down were 4 top 5's including a top 3. So 29 events total in calendar 2019 and thru March of 2020. 23 top 10's or better. Rory was still using a Spider X and putting well with it.

 

Since the return in 2020 after C19 he has not been at his best. It's not only because of his putting. Rory's putting when he won at the Wells Fargo this year was great. 3rd in strokes gained putting in that event.

 

Big picture....regardless of putter used this week Rory seems to play very well in his career on slow wet golf courses. Like this week. Great leader board as the best of the best are in contention.

 

BTW should the Olympic golf event be awarding world ranking points? They did in 2016. Winner this year gets 50 OWGR points. In 2016 IIRC it was 46 OWGR points for Justin Rose.

All feels right in the world seeing him with that putter even if it's not the old one.  That bronze/honey finish is definitely one of my favorite Cameron finishes, would be cool to see it brought to retail but we all know that will never happen.

it was brought to retail, its called chromatic bronze and the original California line had it.

The California line had a Honey Dip finish. 

 

Chromatic Bronze is a tour only finish option seen on Tour Rats, Super Rats, 009's, Timeless, Craftsman etc.

its the same finish, its oxidation by torching the stainless steel head, the difference in color is determined by how long/hot the head gets. You can wipe the finish off with naval jelly.
