Apparently if you build a 21° head to 42.5" with a 85gr shaft it comes out to around E0-E1 sw.

 

gonna take about an inch off and hope it falls in the D4-D5 range.

21° uw will be up for sale on bst soon.

 

Just couldn't hit it. Ended up cutting it down to 41 1/4". Dt swingweight. Only consistent shot I was able to hit with it felt like a flop shot with the uw. 190yd slices. Other than that it was duff city.  F6 baffler will stay in the bag in the mean time.

 

Didn't help that the stealth 25° rescue I built was a point and shoot monster from 185yd out.

 

Already bought everything to make a matching 22° rescue.

Played two rounds with my new 19° this weekend, and I’m in love. I could never hit hybrids to save my life, but this feels just like a miniature fairway. It fits perfectly between my 3W and 4i.

After 2 seasons with the 19 UW, it's going in the sell pile.  Not nearly as consistent (or any longer) than my G425 Max hybrids.  Going in this week for a gapping fitting between my Driver and 4H

I have a 17* with GD AD IZ 8TX that could be up for sale soon if it doesn't quit acting up. Great club but goes left on me too much. Its never me though. Always the club.

Thanks. Didn't know if you had seen the loft offerings. I love my 17* off the tee, and can't imagine how much of a weapon the 15* would be off the tee. It would put the final nail in the coffin for 3 woods in my bag (pretty much already the case). There have been some tour only 15* heads spotted, but I'm guessing they'll never make it to retail.

I had a 19* with the stock HZRDUS Black, and while I hit some great shots with it and the ball felt great off the face, that shaft was not a match for me.

Rather than waste $$ looking for the right shaft, I traded it during the Cally 100% trade bonus and got $75 more than I paid for it through CPO.

Picked up a Paradym Heavenwood instead that's doing battle with my 19* Ping G410 for the 200yrd spot in my bag. ( I'm old )

So I had been looking at deep faced 3 Woods and kept coming back to this considering I really get along with my Apex Pro 4H. Wanting something longer off the tee and in general I was thinking of trying out the 17* shafted with the same I use in my driver a Kai'li White 80X (Driver is 70X but consensus seems to be 10 grams heavier in fairway/hybrid). Any input on this idea?

The only real way it could be materially improved, I’d imagine, would be through some level of adjustability.  
 

That would require some weight manipulation that could take away from the performance factors.  
 

Glued shafts kind of suck given how many of us like interchangeable parts…

I was curious about this too. Like how much lower spin does it tend to run over say a Triple diamond 3 wood/LS?

I went to the BRNR mini at standard 13.5°. surprisingly looking back at address I would of never thought I would be able to launch the BRNR high off the deck compared to the UW 17°
 

I just couldn’t get the UW to launch, the spin was fine but was just like I was hitting my 2i stingers everytime lol

yeah absolutely agree with you on that. Like I’m positive it not having an adjustable hosel adapter is why it looks so clean and so neutral in flight and at address. 
 

but trying shafts on it is a straight pain in the *@ss it also doesn’t help callaway has the fastest hosels adapter but end of the day the shaft hos in all of us would still sacrifice those perks for us to easily swap shafts 😆

TXG Q+A today.... about 20-30 minutes in.... Ian turns to JWunder off screen and asks when the UW is coming out, and he says tomorrow. I am also interested to see what changes. I'd be very interested in a 23/24/25.

New version is on the callaway website. Same lofts as before. New sole, but doesn't look as nice as the OG imo.

The headcover looks nicer, imo.  The sole looks busier.  They kept the price the same, and it will be in the test suite for me, if not an auto-buy at 19 degrees.

Batwing tech instead of the flat jailbreak bars.

 

Also shallower face (new scoring line pattern) - probably higher spin and launch than the OG.

 

Cutwave sole from the Paradym hybrids.

I also hated the UW (but had the 19*) and had a 19* Stealth hybrid beat it out. 
 

 

Will be open to trying this new one though now that they’re offering it in 17* LH.

If that’s the type of player they’re using to market this new line then the sole of the club was incredibly not the worst decision they made in regards to that club.
