Nike went the way of the running shoe ethos. How many threads have been started detailing the need for a more comfy shoe? Heck, many have gone to wearing actual running shoes to golf in. 

 

They are comfy short term but not all that stable. Stable also does not mean it feels like a board. FJ has a good shoe. It's classic, light, stable and offers some good supportiveness. Ecco is a shoe that gets it mostly right, they just look silly. 

 

I have knee problems and age has now brought on foot problems. Of all the shoes I own - handmade leather to Vans, Birkenstock is about the only one that does not hurt my feet - they just look, well.. I think this is because of the lower heal and higher arch. Something that off the rack inserts don't provide and I do not want to flip the bill for custom, yet.

After the Roshe g tour,I don’t see any other viable options available for me. The zoom victory tour are just heavy. Infinity tour are just unstable, even the 2022 version. They should have continued or build off the Roshe g tour, lunar command/control or even the tour premiere.

 

Oh, I haven’t even mentioned their apparel for this year. Which they said will concentrate on after closing their hardware business. What’s going on Nike Golf?

You can still some tour pros wearing the Roshe Tour, along with older lunar control/command series as well.

 

Didn't Rory lace up the Roshes during the fall season? That model came out at least 3 or 4 years ago, which might as well have been 30 or 40 years based on Nikes product life cycle.

 

When my LC4's died, I went looking for a similar shoe from Nike and couldn't find anything, jumped ship to the Tour 360s and haven't regretted it.

I loved the Tour Premiere's. Closest I've found were this years Adidas Tour 360 BOA's.

I have tw Nike 21 and the Fj premier and honestly can’t say that one feels more stable than other.

 

It does lead me to think that tiger and Nike just aren’t getting along at the moment.

Is Tiger leveraging during contract negotiations? I would bet he has multiple angles here.  It could be both money and performance related.  I understand he is very specific about his equipment.  He's been wearing the TW20's for a long time now, so Nike engineers have had to have worked up dozens of prototypes over the past several years.

Not sure if y'all have seen the news but Nike isn't struggling right now, so they might not give a damn. They will come out with a Rainbow Brite colorway of the Jordan 1's and make more than they make on all their golf shoes in 15 minutes. 🤣

Currently gaming the Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 (Rory's shoes), the FJ Pro SL carbon, the FJ SoftJoy Original (brown leather) and the Under Armour HOVR Show SL. 

Out of the 4 I prefer the Under Armours. ( I like them so much I bought 2 colorways : whites and the grey/black). 

The FJ Pro SL are nice and it's true they are low and offers great stability, but i feel like they prevent some mobility on my ankles, which I don't like during the finish of the swing. 

 

The Nike Victory Tour 2 is on top of my list too. They look a bit chunky on the front, and yes, they are quite high but offers good stability and look overall really nice. That's why I usually wear them only when it rains. 

I've seen lots of young pros (not sponsored) wearing them too on different local european tours.

I bet Rory didn't tell Tiger about the Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 so that he would have an edge on Tiger.

I don't think golfers are buying these things, probably shoe collectors. I've yet to see anyone on the course wearing these jordans or retro nike based golf shoes.

Come on this must be Aprils fools, lol. Every time I play golf I have seen many wear the AJ11, AJ1, AJ4, the 5s, the Runners and the Trainers. Where do you play and what course you play lol.

San Diego Courses above the 8…Where are you playing where you see all these? I’ve even seen sandals and plain running shoes on the course, never a Jordan shoe.

I’ll have to agree with the other guy. I wear Jordan’s just about everytime I play. I also see the ADG all the time on people that don’t collect Jordan’s like some of us on this forum

Pretty awful comparison. Does a healthy 25 year old Scottie have the same severe back, leg, feet and ankle issues that a broken down 46 year old Tiger currently has? Complete point missing on your part.

Wasn’t a comparison between Scottie and Tiger, it’s a comment on Nike’s ability to make a functional golf shoe. Something in here that has been repeatedly questioned for some odd reason.

So true. I don’t see anybody playing in the current TWs. I was shocked at how comfortable yet stiff they are. All my golfing buddies say they’re too stiff and play some discount shoe they got at a winter golf show for 70% off.

Circus tent cut with sleeves to the elbows. Nike helped golfers look more athletic with their cuts. I’ve always wanted to play FJ shirts since clubs usually get good discounts at the start of the year. I just can’t deal with how baggy it wears, even sizing down the sleeves are terrible. Anybody else have the same experience?

If you like FJ style clothes but hate the baggy fit, order them from a European retailer. They seem to only stock the athletic fits, and they are the much cleaner, trimmer fit Europeans favor. Function18 is where I get FJ stuff.

this is BS, I played a lot of San Diego courses specially the military courses like Sea n Air, Admiral Baker, Balboa, Torrey and around East County and see many rock the Jordan golf shoes.
