The amount of Nike hate in this thread is incredible. I would bet that only a handful of guys will go and play FJ premiers if Tiger does so. To me its hysterical the need to put Nike down as company and a golf company.

Those might sellout because they probably barely made any pairs and there are enough sneaker groups telling people to go for them.

The motto of most sneaker groups is buy first and if it bricks just return them to Nike for free. They are risking nothing

To me, they feel as comfortable as trainer type shoe, but with firm stability. I used to FJ fitting chart on the website to measure my feet, and I am a half size smaller in FJ than what I usually wear.

I bought the white premiers last year and I found this too. Medium width but half size smaller. I was adidas for many years but after these and the pro SL carbon I have been converted. So comfortable and stable. My feet feel fine after walking 18.

I have always been a Nike guy but I purchased a pair of those FJ Premiers about 6 months ago. Was shocked at how comfy they were straight out the box and need zero break in time. They are super lightweight as well.

I don’t necessarily have a problem with Nike making shoes like that. The main problem that a lot on here have is that the Nike golf of 5-10 years ago seems almost long gone. Quality has gone down, and focus seems to be more on looking cool than actual comfort/performance. Nike shoes used to be comfortable and durable while still looking good. Now it’s a lot of sneaker like designs with spikeless soles.

Agreed, bought a pair on a whim off ebay since the price was good and holy cow was I shocked. Thought they would feel more like a dress shoe comfy once you break them in but a little stiff, but they actually felt really comfortable

I like both footjoy and Nike/Jordan shoes but to say Nike has been garbage for 3-4 years is a bit harsh. The Airmax 1 G was a phenomenal golf shoe (the leather version). They took an iconic shoe and put a great golf bottom on it. I think these shoe companies are just different. Nike is more lifestyle while footjoy is more traditional.

This is a big deal.

One of Nike's mottos is "made to the exact specifications of championship athletes. They should change it to made by the lazy and unimaginative members of our once creative golf division.

What would happened in Serena showed up at Center Court Wimbledon wearing Under Armor, Ronaldo at the Champions League Final wearing Puma, LeBron at the NBA Finals wearing Adidas. All while under contract to wear Nike footwear.

Tiger is the greatest champion they have in their stable and they can't get him a shoe he likes???? Nike is a footwear company at its core, come on..... He played in the PNC over the holidays. It would seem to me that 4 months is plenty of time to get arguably the greatest golfer to have ever lived a pair of shoes. by the global leader in footwear.

Nike doesn't care about Golf. If they did this wouldn't be the first shoe that shows up on their website and Tiger wouldn't be wearing FJ's.air-max-97-g-nrg-golf-shoes-NmHRpr.png.jpeg.d6fa163ac9ab4fec36e88845720d5c23.jpeg

Nike is catering to the people that buy their shoes. It is also partly Tiger's fault if he didn't voice his concern or note to them that his needs changed. Do you really think that Nike would have ignored TWs request for a change to his shoe...come on now?  When Bryson voiced his displeasure with Cobra's latest driver he caught hell...but that is exactly what he was supposed to do and give Cobra's engineers a chance to create something that he was happy with. I am certain that Tiger would have been very involved in the creation of the shoe that has his logo on it so when his needs changed I wonder if he voiced this to Nike and gave them a chance to change it or if he just got with FJ on his own accord.

Also if you buy shoes because such and such wears them and not because they are best suited for your own needs then you are doing yourself a disservice because even if TWs shoes didn't have his logo on them I would still be wearing them because they fit my needs.  I really could care less what shoe or golf club any pro plays because I play and wear what suits my needs but then again I may be in the minority in that thinking.  Nike cares about selling gear and golf is a small percentage of their sales, but I'm sure they are more than capable of making a shoe that would fit TWs needs as long as he is engaged in the process.  Maybe the full details will come out eventually but either way we should be wearing shoes and using equipment that suit our needs and not wearing something because a pro wears it.
