I know Ryder said in an interview he’s won on every level but he will never win on the PGA Tour. There is nothing in his game that is special. He had a great round on the course otherwise he’s mid pack at best.

Was 11 shots worse on Saturday compared with his Wednesday 64.

Went 64, 68, 72, 75.

Not going to get the job done with that scoring.

Ryder and Rahm were both pretty crappy from the tee today. Rahm can get away with it (sometimes) but Ryder isn’t long or good enough to compensate. Not a ringing endorsement for Paradym Technology. I just cancelled my fitting.

What?  You cancelled a fitting because of a reaction to joggers?  Maybe that wasn't you complaining about joggers reactions?

Do I have it all wrong?

You have it all wrong. I said Ryder and Rahm both played like sh!t off the tee so I cancelled my Paradym fitting and I wasn’t being serious at all.

Serious questions for the joggers haters…

What’s your opinion on Payne Stewart’s plus fours?

As a follow up, how did you feel about Tiger’s enormously oversized pleated pants?

Finally, and crucially, when Jack won the Masters in 1986 wearing polyester Sans-A-Belts…good or bad for the game?

It took Steve Sands 45 seconds to make a comment about Ryder’s pants/ankles. Is it contractually mandated that these morons make a comment about the pants?

We get it Steve, your brain is so tiny that you can’t comprehend someone wearing pants that are tightly tapered around the ankles. I hope you were sitting down when you saw his trousers this morning.

Will there ever be another contender with joggers?  It's a bold statement to wear what appears to be sleepwear to the final round of a golf tournament.

IMO Steve was correct to ask about the leaders choice of clothing, most on this thread commented on it.

Great tourney and win by Homa. Good showing by Day and Fowler. Nice seeing them play well.

Well Rickie had a decent showing going after 63 holes, got near the lead, then he Rickied it on his back 9. +4 until a birdie on 18. Three 72's and a 67.  Is that playing well?

Congrats to Max. 5 wins in the last 23 months. 3 career wins on big boy tour courses. 1 at Quail Hollow, 1 at Riviera and 1 at Torrey. Well done.  Hope it continues.

LOL! so true. I mean what's next for WRX? People complaining about having to put up with  daylight/sunlight? It's like anything golf related now has turned into Misery, Inc. for many. <smh>.

Maybe we should all cheer for everyone all the time?

How in the world does favoring one golfer devolve into being a bad person?

You're completely missing my point. I'm not surprised. There is no need to cheer/favor everyone all  the time and I never suggested that. Or people being a bad person. Poor interpretation on your part.

My point is there are so many people at WRX now that do nothing but complain about every little thing golf related. Be it equipment, players, caddies, clothes, rules, different tours, announcers, networks, courses, instructors, social media, price of gear, etc.

In many ways it's getting more difficult to come here and get away from the real world when many do nothing but whine and moan about the game well are supposed to love.

If people don't understand that I'm not sure what else needs to be said.

You didn't clear anything up.  I get it, we should all be nice to each other.  I'm all for that.  Going out of someones way to point out how bad they are isn't helping.

At the end of the day I think we are more alike than apart.

Paynes attire was from golfs history

Tigers pants were in style at the time. Everyone wore them because thats what was being produced.

Jack, see above.

T11. Considering what the last 3-4 years have looked like for Rickie, yeah a T11 is playing well. I didn’t expect him to just flip a switch and win. You can see the changes in his swing and the confidence he is gaining. A lot of positive signs from the Fall and start of this calendar year for him.

Payne was like doing his thing, looked pretty ok, depending on colors. As IJP, Big John and fellow countryman Sandelin did, doing  their thing like. More funny than ugly. Tiger, actually liked that fashion, maybe since I was a teenager in the Tight Jeans era, clothes as torture. Jack,  pretty anonymous pants.

Nothing like the worst duo, Van Rooyen and JT. Not only the ungolfy pajama pants but VR in ladies jogging socks and JT in spatsies(haggis with custard sauce to try to anglify a scandinavian proverb).

You guys are using weak excuses for the bad fashion of the past that could easily be applied to what’s considered the bad fashion of today.

Tiger’s giant baggy pants were at least as awful as today’s joggers. He also tried to popularize golf shirts with no collar. Most clubs said “nah” to that so it didn’t catch on with the golfing public.

The entire world has gotten more casual over the last generation. I’m in a suit-and tie-profession but I haven’t worn a tie in five years and absolutely no one cares. It’s a positive change. Fighting against it is tilting at windmills.

He did cost himself some serious money and OWGR points with his back nine.  The tee shot on 16 was really the only "bad" swing though.  The rest was just golf being golf - he was long by a yard on 11 and in the rough by a yard on 15 and that's all it takes at Torrey for bogies to happen.

In his previous three seasons, when Rickie was slumping, he combined for four top tens over 60 starts.  Rickie already has two top tens this year (and the T11 this week) in 6 starts.  He's clearly playing better.  I have to believe his goal is to make it into the top 50 of the OWGR by the Masters so he can play (or by winning obviously).  The ~8 OWGR points he lost on the back nine yesterday could haunt him.  But he's got courses coming up that he's historically played well at: Phoenix, Honda, Players. I'll be interested to see just how much he plays if he's not quite there.

Max clearly "found it". Whatever "it" is he found it. Must have been him getting engaged and then married that did it for him.
