But Tiger can't even play golf for fun right now. That's the sad part. Let's not even talk about competing on tour. His life's passion has been golf and he can't even just go out and play. There are only so many thots you can fill your days with.

 

I can't imagine what I'd do if I couldn't play golf.

As someone who has back issues I will take Jordan any day of the week. To forget your meds and to tee it up and wonder if this swing will be the one to bring you to your knees or not isn't fun. I would rather live in the moment and not in the past... even if my past was awesome.

How is this even a question at this point? Jordan all the way. Tiger is rich, sure, but he's a total has-been at this point. He's more than likely never going to win again on tour, he's a self admitted "drug" addict who needed rehab and has probably ruined more lives than we know about. His role model status and elite golfing prowess has certainly diminished in my eyes.

 

Jordan is a bright young kid, with what seems to be top notch morals and values. He's not a player, he's not a jerk, and he's technically set the stage to potentially be a top 10 all time golfer, if not better.

Despite 700 million dollars Tiger appears to be lonely, lost, a continued late night joke, temporary girlfriends interested only in the charge card he gives during their relationship, kids who can't possibly view him as a normal dad, obviously addicted ("excuse me mismanaged ") to prescription drugs, deluded that he can come back. Best friend is probably that DUI convicted blood sucking leech of an agent. 41 going on 61. A plus is he doesn't appear to be an alcoholic.

THese threads get started because of the records jordan is tying, breaking and getting close to when Tiger was his age. Yes their records to this point (before 24) are close but lets not forget that after TW turned 24 he went on the greatest stretch of golf in history from 1999-2001. I think I read its 22 wins and 5 majors. Career wise, itll be interesting to see where they compare at age 26-27. I do not think JS will sniff TW accomplishments but he very easily could.

 

With that being said, it would be a tough call but like someone else said....Tigers Career, Jordans life. (I know that is not an option)

I'm happy just being me. A loveing and lovely wife, two handsome, healthy and happy Peanuts and a career that I really enjoy.

 

I wish both of them well in their personal and professional lives. There's often a price to be paid in the pursuit of money and fame. I (like most) would love to have more money but could do without the fame and notoriety.

When I read the title I thlught the OP was talking about MJ. Tiger v MJ is a more interesting topic; both retired, both the biggest name in sports in their primes. Greatest team sports athlete of all time vs arguably the greatest individual sports athlete of all time. I personally think MJ has made a better fist of his post sports life than tiger looks like doing.
