Mine are on their way today, have the P790's (love them) and wanted to try something with more traditional lofts... will give my thoughts later when they arrive.....

Did you get a full set? Or are you going to mix them with your 790s?

Are we going to get some close-ups of these soon like we do with all new clubs that hit the market? I'd love to see some detail on the 4, 7, and wedge as well as side-by-side pics with the 770s.

Here is a side by side with the 790/760 3 iron

... I don't care what the cavity looks like if it looks good at address and performs. That said, I thought these looked pretty bad til I saw them in person. They look much better than they do in pictures and look awesome at address. But again, the ball will never see the cavity, just the face.

Went for 4-PW, after hitting them briefly tonight leaning towards using the full set, as they feel that good....

Nice. I’m really in between getting these 6-pw to go with my 790s or a mixed set of NLG 902/623s

We now have them for sale and I gave them a close look yesterday. They look far better in the flesh but I do not see how they would be a rave compared to the previous 770 model. Reminds me of the subtle differences when Titleist changes the CB model.

Agree with Swanry. TM's shorter length heel to toe is great.

For anyone interested i just compared the 760's to 919T's, Srixon 745's, TM 790's, and Mizuno MP18's in my WITB. Link is below in my signature.

Tried to order a set of these through Taylor Made but I want D4-5 swing weights and TM said they can't and won't do that. Said that they would put a lighter head in to lower the swing weight back down to D2 once they put the shaft I wanted in. Wouldn't even keep the normal head in with my shaft which would have raised the swing weight some. Basically they just make it D2 swing weight regardless and wouldn't budge on this. So I went ahead and ordered AP2 718's since they are going to put a heavier head in and make my D5 swing weight I want. Was 50/50 on these irons but wanted the TM due to the increased forgiveness I got on track man with the longer irons but Titleist making my adjustment wins out. Could pay an additional $500 to get the p760's at club champion but it's not worth the money.

OR...

You could order a set of 765s, X-Forged, 900F, or J15CBs... Save $300, have more forgiveness, and have a set that actually feel SOFT when you hit it.

I hit all of those (well 785s and 919s) and did not like them as much. Top 3 in order were p760s, ap2s, and 919 tours.

Played a few holes yesterday in appalling weather, which is not great. Coming from the P790's i was very pleased to see a higher ball flight which is exactly what i was after. Although approx 1/2 a club shorter than the P790's for me they are more playable and i think in the long run will suit my game better. Having had these in my hands for 3 days i think they look fantastic, not cheap at all, in fact dare i say it they look premium to me. The cavity in real life is fine to me not quite sure what all the fuss is about.......

For me what stood out an has gone kinda of under the radar is the leading edge grind ,my miss with irons is getting to steep on the down swing an really taking wayyyyyyy to much divot ,that being said i do realize i need to keep my ewing a little ftatter but i really like these mind you i have only one round under my belt but i love the way they look behind the ball .Now my miss is not that bad with the leading edge grind

Welp, TXG officially endorses these now. Matt says "softest" irons he's ever hit.

This now means I must try them.

It was a great review and Ian was surprised (or seemed to be) when Matt said they were the softest. Genuinely think he might bag them at some point.

As a P790 owner, I firmly believe it's the foam. However, I also think this may make the irons feel "hot" or "jumpy". A well struck 790 4i feels like a cannon blasting off compared to my old MP 54's, which are still to date, the softest feeling irons I've personally hit. Better players who are used to pure forgings may not like this feeling of "jump", even though it's soft.

I do think though the foam adds a level of forgiveness, and also lets TM really get that CG location away from the face that much more. 790's aren't massively bigger than most blades, but are out of this world in forgiveness compared to them. I'm sure the 760's leverage that quite a bit.

Not feeling that topline.

You need to see them in person. I'm not a TM guy (can't stand most of them) and the 760's look real good. Top line and all.

Hit these the other day at Carl’s by me, felt alright, they’re definitely softer than a lot of irons out right now but not as soft as my 785’s.

Top line was thinner than my 785’s but sole was slightly thicker but not by much.

Overall impressed with these, I don’t think I’ll switch my Srixons out for them but as far as expectations, they exceeded them.

I had a chance to hit these at my course today. Did not like anything about them. Too big, didn't feel good (although i'm coming from baby blades, so everything is pretty big in comparison)

You won’t find a single iron made by the major OEM’s that remotely fits your criteria if same size as baby blades is a requirement.
