I have never been so happy for someone I don't know personally. Just watched his interview, he reaffirmed what a great guy he is. I'm rooting for him over one of my other hometown favorites Xander. I really hope he pulls this off.

McCormick went on the telecast during the PGA last year and said:

 

”Jordan needs to be committed”

So, what are your thoughts? The quote seemed odd given he is 81st in strokes gained in putting. With the Masters coming up, I am thinking he comes out of his slump and sits atop the leaderboard at some point during the weekend.

He’s been working on his swing for the past few years. He said in a recent interview that he’s a “feel” type of player vs. being technical. 
However, his “feel” started to get away from him due to technical issues. So he got a new coach and started to study his swing’s mechanics, which led him down a deep rabbit hole. 
He’s working hard to get back to that 2016 level of performance. 
This week might be that turning point. 
Love the guy. Best of luck to him.

I’ll add this.  Now  it’s twilight zone stuff.  So have to open the mind to see it.   Suppose Jordan and tiger share a common thread.  Some sort of time fabric / past present bond. ?   When tiger was down before.  Jordan rose and dominated.    Tiger comes back , Jordan is in the dumps.  Tiger has another surgery and all of the sudden it’s clicking with Jordan again.  Hmmmm.

His post round interview is confusing. When he was talking about his swing he said he figured out that he needs to flatten the shaft in transition, which he used to do without thinking about early in his career but he has been steepening it during his struggles. If it took him and McCormick three years to figure this out it could be the biggest case of negligence in the history of golf. This is golf swing 101.

We all know how fickle the world rankings are.  He could win tomorow and next week and rise to 3rd or something.  That is if the voodoo algorithm lines up with the smoke from the chimney and of the ground hog sees its tail while brushing his teeth.  Good lord man.  Who knows how they rank these guys !!
