Most fade biased hybrid?

Hello WRX!

Looking for some suggestions on a fade biased hybrid. Been playing a 19 degree 818 H2 titleist with an AD-Di shaft and after some swing changes I have developed a case of the lefts with that club only.

Definitely prefer to see the ball move left to right, especially when hitting into the green.

Any suggestions on more fade biased clubs? Looking to move my 4iron into a hybrid too

I haven't hit it, but there was lots of talk that the SIM hybrid was anti-left. I play the Callaway Apex 19 hybrid and it was designed to be anti-left. It doesn't eliminate the lefts for me, but that's operator error.

Ping g410 in flat setting and the latest Mizuno CLK for adjustable hybrids- Callaway Apex 19 can be ordered 2* flat and the TEE cbx hybrid is pretty anti left as well in fixed hosel options.

By most standards, the Titleist 818 H2 is already a pretty neutral hybrid. The nice part is that it is adjustable. Try the flatter lie and less loft settings first (B1,D1,C1 if you are right handed). This will make the face angle more open and promote a more left to right shot. I would also position the heavy side of the removable weight towards the toe. If none of those things work, try a different shaft. The AD DI is a great shaft that doesnt work for everyone. Myself included.

I would try the flatter lie approach before anything. If you want to try something cheap and proven, pick up a used Adams Pro or Pro Gold with the Matrix Ozik Altus shaft. I am still playing the Pro Gold and its definitely fade biased.

Hard to find a more fade biased hybrid than the h2 with the weight in the toe, set to flat, and lofted down.

I've said this in other threads but it's worth repeating. For those of us who don't normally build up grips or use mid-size or jumbo, these have a great way of quieting the hands and helping promote a straight-to-fade bias.

I've played several anti-left hybrids. Still went left. Moved to a 7 wood. No more lefts. No more worries.

Callaway Mavrik Pro is one of the best hybrids i've hit in a while and def anti left. But with all glued heads you have to make sure the lie angle is right for you.

I have tried the lofting down with the surefit hosel but it affected my gapping too much. Might just try a 21 hybrid and turn that down since I know the 818 H2 has worked for me before.

Got enough suggestion to try, now just need to find some demo clubs.

I have a G410 4H in the flat setting. Its truly an amazing club. It is in my bag most rounds and will not steer you wrong. The only downfall is if you need a shaft that is heavier. The Pro Blue in 80-TX is the best they offer. I had a Titleist 818-H2 as well and took the Pro white 90X out and put the g410 adapter on it. The new Mizuno CLK has the 90-TX as a stock option which is nice and is a little flatter in its neutral setting vs the ping which should help.

I concur with what @gbartko mentioned. Check your lie angle first.
I game the 818 H2, and until I set the lie angle 1* flat, my miss was left.
Once I made that change (and altered the weight to be out towards the toe), that miss went away.
If you are comfortable with the 818H2 otherwise, I'd try that option...

I'm convinced that headweight and/or swingweight plays a vital role in hybrids much more so than other clubs. For instance, i can swing a 3 wood at D1 all the way to D6 with zero issues, but with hybrids i need to be able to feel the head or that puppy is heading left. D4 in hybrids at a minimum for me

My latest iteration of the 2016 Apex hybrid is working pretty well. When i do hook it, its always b/c of a toe strike (gear effect)

I have 2 TS2 hybrids. My 19* is set to A1 and has a 75 gram Tensei Red Stiff shaft in it for when I need to hit it high and land it soft. Generally hit about a 5-7 yard draw with it. My 23* hybrid is set to C1 (Open and Flat) and has a 90g T1100 Evenflow 6.5 shaft in it. It's for shots when I absolutely positively can not go left. Has worked out well so far...I'm betting TS3 with the changeable weight in the toe and a similar setup would be even more unhookable.

Love my TS2 and i dont hook it in neutral setting so im sure if you put it in flat setting it would be even better for you.

PXG Gen2. You can set it 3* flat and put the weights in the toe and you'll have a hard time hooking it.

Apex, 818H2, and G410 are all great options to take the left shot out of play. That said, the most anti-left hybrid I've ever hit is the old Rescue TP in white, especially if you can find one of the tour issue heads. The one that I have in the bag is a 19* that was 2.5-3* open which I cranked open another 1* for getting the loft down to 18*. Absolutely awesome clubs and they feel incredible.

Based on all of these suggestions I think I just need to go get fit. Havent had a real fitting for hybrids in a couple years and what I want out of them has changed since then. Too many options it seems to just pick one and I dont have the demo clubs available to try all of them.

Titleist TS2 or TS3 are great. Either are adjustable to make their lies flatter. The TS3 can also be adjusted for toe bias.

That is what I was thinking as well. 818 lofted down + flat + fade cartridge and any lefts are definitely your fault, unless there is a significant shaft mismatch or weight issue.

agree.  I've hotmelted a few Ping hybrids in my shop that turned into fade machines in the flat setting as well.

My ts2 21hy is the only club in my bag that I can rely on to not go left. I'm not sure why. I hook everything else. I even play mine 1/2" long. 

 

I can still turn it over. But normally its a stock left to right shape.
