No driver has ever sounded and felt as good as the OG Rapture, still have mine .. and had it at the range last week.  YUMMY

Close silver medal, R510tp

I would add the King Cobra LTD to the list also. FWIW I've still got a 540 XD/TP with similar acoustics. I certainly prefer the dull thwack above all else.

touch too much draw bias as well on 425

drop the weight a touch

back to neutral bias

adjust sound

and you have the #1 Driver in golf on all metrics

I agree about the draw bias on the 425 Max. I noticed the same, but did not experience that with the G410 Plus.

Being a Subaru owner- you're banned from talking any type of performance gains- on golfWRX

I'll add the Titleist 910 and Callaway Mavrik to the list.  The Mavrik is the best sounding of all time, IMO.

I agree with the Mav. Just put it back in the bag after failures with the SZ Xtreme and Rad XB.

The problem with the g425 is how it sets up. The way I play my hands the 425 is closed big time. The SZ Xtreme in draw +1.5 sits way more open than even the 425 in the negative setting.

I had a 400 max and it sat more neutral to my eye. Wished the 425 setup the same way.

I regret selling my G400 Max and going to the G425 Max....  I just couldn't produce the same consistency so I sold it and

got fitted for a Titleist TSi3......  If it ever comes in 😞

wonder why others don't talk about this

they need to remove that bias , lighten it a bit and fix the sound

BIGTIME

G425 Max draw bias can be fixed by just simple putting the weight to the fade position..

No it can't

obviously tried that my man

410 can, 425 cannot

too heavy, left too much draw bias in it and sounds like a tin can

those are just facts in my view

if it suits you, you like a little draw bias I would say - tons of players do of course

just don't like that being pre-determined for me

cheers

Sure results may vary, but I have seen in multiple fittings that swapping the weight to fade works well to eliminate the draw bias.

If the sound and fade weight position don't work for you, one option still would be to hotmelt the toe to slow the rotation and swap a lighter weight to the back.

Why would you buy a driver where you have to use the weight to eliminate a draw bias right from the start. Every player’s swing changes sometimes from day to day. Why start with a driver with a left bias right out of the box?

Thank you

and I did hot melt it as well

nothing works effectively

Really looking forward to the 430 is what I am trying to say

the 425 was at best a side-step from the 410

And I can find just as many that claim the 410 was a joke compared to the 400 Max.....

Neither is true......just which model fits your swing the best

I'm hitting the 425 farther than any previous model G - going all the way back to the G2...........and it's not really close-even adding those 15yrs of aging

Many extremely popular drivers over the years have had a more draw biased CG, and it is very common for the more/most forgiving model of a lineup to favor in that direction.

We are a small town mattM97.....

Hope they keep the dragon fly and turbulators tech. It does frame the ball nicely too. I prefer the G400 (smaller and quieter) its point and shoot all day.

My son and a few others who play the G400Max just crush the ball. Guys will come up to them all the time asking what kind of driver they're playing after hearing that piercing thwack.

Call me an idiot but I really really like the sound…

This Saturday morning was on the first hole there were a lot of people around getting ready, I opened my fivesome hit the G425 maybe at 85% but the whole area resonated with the sound of the driver… I felt powerful and everyone looked at me thinking my swingspeed was nuts.

The shot was so so though…

It can't be that bad I mean it's played a ton on like every Tour and yeah when you connect dead center and hear that thwack people look and ask what that driver is. I enjoy that and don't really want to hear a muted thuck noise when I hit the ball.

I do too especially on the fairway and my buddies know when I hit a good one cause they can hear it, just curse under their breath and either try and match my drive or we see who hit it further when we get to our balls.

I do want to give the LST a try in the 410 or 425 see how those fair but I'll probably be in Ping woods for a long time.
