Mizuno T22 wedges preview

I've never had Mizuno wedges but I love the look of these. The raw and copper finishes are awesome. Also looks like they have multiple grind options coming:

That seems like a big jump.  The multi-piece ES21 was $200, these are completely different.  T20's are $150 retail.

 No. They have kept it pretty simple previous to these.

Imagine these with just the Mizuno logo on the back and without the second-rate Atari graphics. Oh what could have been. 

 

It's hard to believe they could have got something so wrong on a wedge that otherwise looks so right. 🤦‍♂️

I've been super happy with my raw T20's for the last year but those copper / raw T22's will cause some infidelity on my end.

Same, I love the Blue Ion.  Wedges are a part of the bag where you can get a bit crazy and wild, without anyone thinking twice about it.
Blue, Rust, Colored Stamps, the Heat Treat Flame stuff, etc.  Wish they would keep the Blue Ion options going.

I think OEMs try and make their wedge ranges stand out from their iron ranges, at least from a Rack Appeal perspective, that way they can entice folks who aren't brand specific to add a funky wedge to their bags. I like the simple look too, I quite liked the little button from a few generations back, make the back simple with the Running Bird and add the button for exact specs.

Copper will not rust but will patina, guessing the same as the tp copper putter line from TM or the vokey sm6

I've always said the T20's are some of the best, consistent wedges i've ever gamed.  If these are an improvement over the T20's then im in!!  Also i'm super intrigued about the different grind options.  Can't wait to see these in person.

More grind options and a copper underlay make these very intriguing. The feel of the T20 wedges were average. Mizuno wedges always had a great shape to my eye. Feel on these new wedges should be much closer to the MP 20 irons. Played the S18 wedges, skipped the T20, and will definitely take a close look at these when they are released. I would expect a price bump for increased manufacturing costs, but Mizuno has so many no cost custom options for shafts and grips.

I've been loving my T20s but if these have a copper underlay I may just have to buy them in bulk!
