A bit of gold-coloured modelling paint and Danny Willett can finally get the Callaway reps off his back about changing his driver.

Curious to see how these play. I like that they have a triple D right out of the gate.

Look's better than TM's new model.

Wonder how it sounds? Cally has been hit and miss sound wise over the past few models.

It looks like the Max LS has a more classic shape closer to the Epic Speed - rather than last years elongated 'max-esque' Epic Max LS.

I really dont want to upgrade my Speed, but if I can get the performance I got from the Epic Max LS in a driver that looks like the Epic Speed....THEN I'M IN.

A bit of irony here.  Callaway back in the late 00's was all about "Fusion Technology"  and TM doubled down on MWT and titanium heads.  Now Callaway has migrated far away from their fusion technology and TM has embraced carbon.  (yes I know that Glorie has carbon/poly face and Callaway had the C4).

It's just interesting.

Don’t agree on the last 2 models. the sound was stellar on Mavrik and even better feel and sound on the Speed. I truly feel like Sounds can change based on shaft as well.

TM have form for it.

FWIW The fusion drivers were extremely popular amongst pros and alike in that era. Alas 2016 M2 is still popular with the Bombers brigade.

Yeah.. The FT's were great.  Callaway was getting slaughtered in sales against R7, RBZ and SLDR during that time frame so they had to change.

Time to formulate a game plan for my fitting next month; start with my Triple Diamond 10.5° set to -1/N (2G front and 12G back) to set a baseline.  This configuration has been sublime for me this past season!  Then try the Max 9° set to -1/N. Then go right into the TD LS 10.5° set to -1/N with the tungsten weight from the Max in the back and a 4G front weight. Finish off with Max LS 10.5° set to -1/N with the heavy tungsten weight out back.

A little shocked they are using the Rogue name again, but none of the technology in the club dramatically stands out as worthy of a new name. I'm sure it's going to be a good driver, but it doesn't have the wow factor for me at first glance.

Loved my Mavrik Max. Didn't think anything could kick it out, but Epic Max did for me. Did play the original Rogue and I did like it a lot. I love the matte finish on the crown.

Also like the face graphics. The face on the ST Max looks a little deeper than Mavrik Max or Epic Max. Can't tell if it is or that's just the face graphics. Not crazy about the bottom, but then the Epic Max was quite busy and I got used to that pretty easily. Color combo is ok. Do like the head cover. Told my buddies I'm extremely happy with my set up and don't plan any changes, with the caveat that driver head is always in play!

Hopefully the max ls looks different than the epic max ls.  The epic max ls looks like it has offset and I can’t get over it.

Seems like Callaway is dead set on that awful face shape where there is no bulge and roll and the toe sits funky. Tsi3 is safe in the bag I guess.
