I haven’t played a Ping wedge in years but I’m excited to try these!

 

Also makes me want to see the i210 replacement but can’t imagine we’ll see that anytime soon.

I have played a lot of Ping wedges over the years, but the 4.0, at address looks odd to me.

 

Seems very oval or teardrop shaped (doesn’t apply to the Eye 2 inspired wedges)

Don't want to be a pessimist but I'm not a fan of the new shape. Glide 2.0 Stealth are still my #1 and the 3.0 are a close #2.

As the loft go higher - the hosel transition becomes weird to my eye. And the more I think about it....I think that's my complaint with the 3.0 vs 2.0 Stealth

Those look Pingish. Not a fan, but I feel like they will look better in black.

I think these look really cool, a lot of hidden tech. If they play similar to the glide 3.0s i would think they would appeal to a lot of players. If they actually give them a chance.

They took out the offset, but still have too round a leading edge. Disappointed……

Yeah I’m def in the minority on the straighter leading edge. Two pet peeves I have on wedges, 1 is obviously a curved leading edge, and 2 is when the bottom scoring line doesn’t go all the way across the face like the other grooves. I’ll just have to keep gaming my Tour S and Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges.

All they had to do was add the new tech to this shape….. The engineers making it harder than it needs to be.

I liked the 2.0s but took a pass on the 3.0s. These look like an improvement. With the channel on the back of the wedge seems like they are trying to move the COG even higher. Maybe some slight grind adjustments as well? I didn't like the WS before, but to me this one appears to have more heel and toe relief.

So glad I bought the Stealth 2.0 when I did.  Once those wear out (physically or their welcome), it looks like the Vokey's are going to be given a go.

I find it odd that the i59 got the narrow groove treatment, but these didn't. Also, the "extra groove" doesn't look so extra.

I’ll wait to see it in person, but I just don’t understand why they don’t make a 54/56 in the same vein as the i210 U wedge. The entire glide line with the exception of the OG glides have been way off

Spoke to our rep just some hours ago and apperently they took inspiration from the 2.0 for these as the feedback from tour was that they prefered the shape of the 2.0. So a bit smaller heads to look more like the 2.0 than the bigger 3.0.

 

I will for sure get them! But my OG Glide Forgeds are also really worn out so I need new wedges anyways

Do you know if these will be coming out in Stealth - sorry, if I missed that post. If so, do you know when we might see that?

I’m interested if they release a WS with heel/toe relief in a 54. That would be a great wedge for me here in Michigan.

Sorry I don't know that. The material I saw was just the same finish we see here. Don't know material either but the CTP is apperently the same as the i210 if I understood him correctly

I have another OG Glide inbound fwiw, nearly new, 47*

 

loving the steelfiber 125s so much in my 50-54-60 gen 1 glides I had to try the 47* to unseat my PW.  I will bend down to 45.5*

The last few Ping wedge releases have not been good. Too much offset, too round a profile, too round a leading edge, and way too thick in the hosel/heel area. All they have to do is go both to the Stealth Glide 2.0 shape and add the new tech.
