Same thing happened to me but all I did was say to myself "Short shaft experiment" and will see how that works out.

No, it's negative and nothing else.  The buyer abused the BST system.  The shaft was as expected.  The buyer clearly (and admittedly) returned it simply because it didn't work for him.

Guys I did leave feedback. I had been going back and forth between neutral and negative. I ended up choosing Neutral as I think age wise we are generations a part. This was a big misunderstanding and by me asking if this was normal as honestly I didn't think so but wasn't positive, it started a firestorm. He did refund me my shipping so I was not out anything. But also wanted me to delete my post after I received the shaft which I told him no. By all the messages he said he has received, I'm not so sure his BST days aren't over anyway.

He was relatively new here so I was hoping he’d have responded differently and he could see it was unanimous. He could have said oh my bad and kept it and called it a lesson learned. Instead he says cmon man were not talking about a circle T.
 

Even faced with everyone telling him that isn’t the way things work around here he still returned it. 

 

GTFOH. He’s a punk. 

 

He chose wrong period. But at least this will remain and the feedback will at least give people a heads up.

The best level of feedback this clown buyer should of received is negative. It's a shame there isn't a worse level of feedback he should of received.

 

The seller is a good dude as you noted but he totally missed the mark on the feedback he left IMO and likely many others opinion as well.

Simple - every seller just adds @btran321 to their ignore list and he won't be sold anything. He clearly does NOT get it

Buyers like the guy make want to only do local cash deals and never list on the BST.

 

@btran321's level of entitlement is astounding, no matter his age. @dwb7272 is not a retailer and as long as the length in the listing was accurate, it's on the buyer to resell if it's not the correct length for him. Huge props to @dwb7272 for going above and beyond what he should've to make this right.

I hope this ordeal is coming to an end. I took in my opinion the ‘High Road’ with him and left neutral feedback. He followed by doing the same. I don’t know how many transactions I’ve done here but it’s a lot. I take pride in my reputation but I’m not unique, this site is composed of great guys who enjoy golf. 
 

I have went back and left negative feedback for btran321. And if you are reading this, please note your feedback for me and any further feedback for me has been and will be removed by Moderators. I could say so much more but only makes me look bad.

Very important for everyone to read here in case anyone has missed it.

 

Not only did the buyer return the shaft, he has also requested the seller to DELETE the post. Then left neutral/negative feedback for the seller. 

 

Good riddance...if the MODS do not ban this buyer then I will be beyond disappointed.

This return never should have happened, though I commend you OP for your patience and willingness to work with this guy.  A standard can not be set where people buy something and want to return it when they realize it isn't a good fit.  We all buy stuff all the time here that isn't a good fit, we just resell it and move on.  Glad you had your feedback rectified and glad you decided to leave him negative feedback, it is well deserved on his part.  Reading that you actually stated the length in your ad gives his argument that the length wasn't right absolutely no merit.  You shouldn't have to take it back because he is either too lazy to read or too lazy to take a measurement.  Unreal.

Is this that bad???  Every time I see someone list a set of 2019 PXG 0211 Irons (not often) that includes the 4i (even fewer listings), I send them a PM asking if they will take a decent offer for the 4i alone if the complete set doesn't sell within a week or 2.  I usually get a no, but nobody has ever seemed offended for me asking.  I figure the worst they can tell me is no, which is a perfectly acceptable answer.  I am kicking myself for not ordering the 4i when I bought the set.  And my stock offer has been $100 for the 4i when the entire set is usually listed for about $400 or even less, and would even consider a counter offer, but I usually just get a No even when the set doesn't sell.  Should I avoid doing this?  Does it really bother some people?

I would tell you a solid "no" I won't split it but I play  a 4 iron. To some, a 4 iron is expendable...much more so than a 5  iron so I don't see your scenario being an apples to apples comparison with the example of the 5-pw.
