Buyer Wants to Return Item

It was a half inch shorter than my current GD shaft, I paid my own return label.  It was within 7 days of receiving it.  It was only 120 bucks, it wasn’t a circle t putter.  It didn’t fit me, I asked to return it.  My mistake was asking for a label.

Did you ask about the length before you bought it?  If not, that's on you.  The BST isnt a retail store.

Still a load of crap on your part. It’s not the sellers issue that it didn’t fit you or that it was shorter than what you had as long as he listed specs correctly. I doubt you will be able to do another deal here.

 

Seller should definitely leave you negative feedback.

Only $120 huh?  Then suck it up and keep it or resell it. This isn’t a retail environment.

I've been looking for a ping g410 2 hybrid for a good price for some time @btran321 and finally found one on here. It had a 2.0 chrome which wasn't available at that time but didn't think to ask about that and the length(very uncharacteristic of me but rushed it). Guess what, it's a inch shorter than stock. That's on me, I know better, and it cost a lot more now because I decided to order another shaft and hopefully sell the 2.0.

 

I hope GolfWRX steps in and says nope, not happening unless it's not accurately described/broke because it will only get worse. Sold and bought plenty here without any issues. What your doing is absolutely ridiculous.

So the seller loses out on his shipping and PayPal fees because u bought a shaft that is half inch shorter than u are used to ???

 

Your reasoning is you returned it within 7 days and it wasn't a circle T ????  

 

Did seller guarantee that you would simply love this shaft or feel free to return it ?  Not sure if u are aware but what u are doing is "not" standard OP for the classifieds.

Your mistake was everything, he has the length of the shaft listed in the ad. This isn’t Amazon or a big box retail store, suck it up butter cup…. Geezus, what is wrong with people.

He doesn't have to.  All he need do is deduct those costs from the refund.  That's what I'd do.

Sometimes I can't believe what I'm reading when I see these type of posts.  Length of the shaft is clearly labeled on the ad.  Really is no excuse for the sense of entitlement on the buyers behalf to request not only a return, but a label as well.  Another one to add to my ignore list.

Looking at this user’s recent posts, there are many red flags. This situation alone should warrant a preemptive block by anyone who regularly sells on the BST as this user is an entitled dispute waiting to happen.

Your mistake was a lot more than that. And you negotiated him down, too. You tried it, didn't like it. You don't get to return it, this is not a Roger Dunn. You needed to resell it yourself.

 

If you're broke, don't ho golf equipment.

Thank you. Not patting myself but I’m old enough and was raised b believe your reputation and word is all you have and don’t tarnish it. I’m glad I posted this. As now I have changed my opinion. I will refund once shaft is received and all is good. But I will deduct my shipping costs and fees. I did nothing wrong and shouldn’t be out anything. 
Also he still hasn’t told me he insured it. For his sake if not, I hope it arrives safely.

If you have not banked the money you can reverse the transaction with no fees.  I have done it many times.  the most recent just three month ago.

I haven’t. Also haven’t looked into it to check on fees if I do a partial refund to cover my original shipping.

Why not add a short butt extension to make it your length?  Easy to do!

Absolutely agree on all accounts, especially your word and reputation part.  It’s something that takes years to build, but can be destroyed in a day.

Tons of questions and rebuttals being raised here but the seller's only response is "I'm okay to cover the shipping and fees." Seller went above and beyond. Hopefully, proper feedback is left.

Wow!  Epic!  In all my years of buying/selling, I can only think of a couple of times someone wanted to return something just because they made a bad purchase decision.  I say either charge a restocking fee, or refuse the return.

That's one of the ironic parts: even a big box retailer would charge a restocking fee or refuse the return if someone just mailed an item back

 

if the seller did this for everyone, he would be quickly out of business 😄
