Just got one myself. Ilove the look but Im hot and cold with it. The sweet spot is pretty small, but the feel is incredible. You can really feet a toe hit. I know I missed it right away. Lagging seems easier to dial in.

 

I almost dont care because I love how it looks so much.

if you hit it way out on the toe, you know....just off center and it still feels amazing and distance control has been great.

 

 

Great putter. Had an awesome 9 hole round with it yesterday. 11 putts! I feel like what you give up in forgiveness, you gain in feel. The feedback is just awesome. Im still in the honeymoon phase. In fact, if this was a real honeymoon, the putter and I would still be locked in the room ordering room service. We havnt seen the pool yet, let alone had the swimming with dolphins experience in the lagoon.

I switched from an MP-5/MP-4 combo set to a 716 MB/CB set. The Mizunos looked pretty and I'd flush them 3 out of 4 times. But that fourth time...yikes. The smaller, more compact head on Titleist irons as well as tech in the long irons has been a huge help. My ball flight is far more consistent and they're just as workable. Also, the traditional lofts closed the gap between my PW and 52 and widened the gap between my hybrid and 4 iron, which was something I was looking for. My 5 wood, hybrid, and 4 iron were starting to get a little crowded at the top of my bag with the Mizunos in the bag.

Turned the grip on my putter 90 degrees counter-clockwise to accommodate my "index fingers down" style. This has helped considerably with getting my putts started on the intended line.

I don't know anyone that putts this way, but if you're like me and you have your pointer extended when gripping your putter, try this out.

 

A similar effect can be made possible with a Flatso, but me no likey da flatso

Best equipment change for me has been adding the GMax driver. It has been phenomenal. Down from 19 to 14 on the index.

 

The club that I thought was going to be a game changer was a g400 5 wood. Everyone raves about it, but for me has probably been the worst choice I have made this year. Just don't hit it well at all.

I agree the G400 is as close to automatic as you can get. I'm constantly in good/great shape off of the tee box!

JPX919 Forged and Tour combo set is so consistent. The 4iron Forged is just a cannon and so easy to hit pure.

Same here coming from P790’s, Mizuno Forged will never leave the bag again.

This year ? A real driver fitting that resulted in a 43 1/4 inches playing length rogue that’s very head heavy. Essentially going back to the days of steel as far as feel and length go. Never hit so many fairways. And it is just as long. Sometimes longer.

My g400 lst is an absolute weapon. I have no fear with that thing. Long, accurate, consistent and forgiving.

Taking out my former trusty Adams 20* hybrid and replacing it with a Srixon 18* Z85 UDI. This is my go-to off the tee for an automatic hit fairway. Absolute dead straight and low lasers. Low is good for me considering I hit most everything a mile high (especially the hybrid).

I changed irons after using my Lynx Parallax since 93. I bought a used set of TM Burner 2's, changed the shafts to Nippons and love them. Big improvement in my iron paly once I got use to distances.

Only thing I changed as in bought new has been going from a 917D2 into a TS3 so that has to qualify. Although, the 3 iron did make it's way out of the bag in favour of a hybrid and that was a great idea.

I totally changed over my whole bag this fall. My favorite addition has been the Graphite Design IZ shafts!

Going to a 13.5 degree driver head with a low-ish teed ball totally changed my game. It's like hitting a 3 wood off the tee, but easier to hit and more forgiving. I really don't see a distance loss at all, and my ball is in the fairway frequently.

My crack dealer got a different job, so my daily equipment changes have been reduced to monthly equipment changes. So I'm going thru big time withdrawal. So that's my biggest & best change.

 

The G400 wood line up have been a plus, Slighter prototype Ninja putter has stopped the putter shopping, shovel city in the iron department.

 

Looking forward to next year.

Switched to a face balanced putter for the first time. Much more consistent especially from short range. I still miss the gate putting stroke but heck I shouldn't complain about making more putts.
