Love my ventus... I'd put one in my sim ti wood but I can't justify the cost. I also really like my Accra fx 2.0 in my 5w so I'm probably all set. Thinking about putting a blue 10tx in my 4h.

The XT is a classic but the Ventus Black is on another level......

It took Bryson a pandemic and 60 lbs to get to 190 ball speed and it took Rory 2 weeks. His swing is beyond impressive.

Yes it is...

 

Obviously on that swing it was fitting him pretty good. Having hit those two you mention and several others I recently switched to the Ventus Black. It wasn't the longest although it was within .5% of the longest. However it was the most accurate for me and it wasn't even close. So Rory being longer with more accuracy is a win/win.

Love it or hate it, Bryson's approach is statistically better in terms of scoring. The closer you are to the hole, the less strokes it'll take to get up and down. Tony Finau had a video a while back where he got over 200mph ball speed on a full out swing.

 

I'd love to see guys start absolutely unleashing it on the golf course and see what happens.

Indeed. He would likely hit it past Bryson based on those numbers, Bryson gets a bit more ball speed but typically spins it much more

Can you imagine if it makes it in play at the masters. I cant think of another shaft out there that has this kind of following..  Its pretty stellar.

The Ventus Black is a little stiffer overall and has a different profile towards the tip section. A stiffness bump and then a softening towards the tip whereas the classic Mitsubishi formula with most of their "White" profiles is a stiffness drop followed by an increase towards the tip. Different feel for guys with Rory's speed, and likely produces different results. 

Pretty interesting change overall if it sticks. Rory was a Fuji guy when he came up and had the old Rombax P95 in his fairways for ages.

Speaking of Ventus Black. If my swing speed is 107-108 with a middle release what flex in the 6 weight class would fit me? 6S or 6X ?

Ventus line is the best shaft line in a while to have this many tour guys gain with it. I saw carry gains on the first swing last year with mine.

I’d love to see Bryson get out Bryson’d. He obviously doesn’t have the most natural speed of the top 5 distance leaders. If they decide to make it a distance war he’ll probably be where he was before he bulked up.   Nobody on tour could do what Tiger did when he came on the scene..it took a 20 years for his “prototypes” to grow up and get on tour. Bryson may wish he did it gradually instead of 6 months..now there is a knee jerk reaction and potentially a whole bunch of copiers.

Honest to goodness you better hit it first.  I’d say the S unless you just have a very high launch swing to begin with.   The 6x untipped for me was a handful at 118ish. But I have a level to negative aoa which is why the red works so well. It’s still low spin but it gets up fast.  Don’t know how it does it. But it does.

my cowboys are looking to be 1-6 by then and probably tied for the division lead in the nfc least

This will do nothing for Rory’s golf. The last reason he isn’t winning is not hitting it far enough..Same with Finau.

Say what you will, VENTUS is the shaft if the year.  Period.  End of story.  
 

Michael Thompson wins 3M with it.  Fleetwood bags it; Rose; Berger wins with it and now Sergio who is a long time MRC user.

 

This shaft is special.  Would be surprised if Rory DOESNT have it in the bag when he returns.  
 

FUJI did something special here; there’s no doubt.
