They are great balls. If the deal includes the ball I wonder if TM will give Fleetwood a period of time to switch to the TM ball as they did when both Rahm and Wolff signed their deals.

Ball seems to be a big deal to TM, Titleist and Callaway so I'm sure they'll find him something. Not like he signed with Ping or Cobra who don't have a ball. 

 

Will be interesting to see, Tommy likes to tinker and I'm sure there will be lots of coverage on this.

Quite a few Callaway players play the Pro-V1 line. Most well known are Stenson, Kisner and Kevin Na. Hope the gear changes don't impact Rahm and Fleetwood greatly.

When I think of Tommy Fleetwood, I always think of Matthew Fitzpatrick.  Fitzpatrick is 3 years younger than Tommy but they both have 5 European Tour wins.  Tommy is a strong player, but in terms of marketability and visibility, Tommy did himself a great favor growing a beard and letting his hair grow out.  Sponsors are paying players for the amount of time they can be on screen, which is why Michelle Wie got paid A+ bucks with a C+ playing resume.  But I sometimes wonder if Tommy were to shave, cut his hair off and play the same way, would his price go down?

Poor TSi3 didn't get much time, hah! I'm curious about that since he just switched away from the TM driver. I wonder what he will end up back in and if there is any tweaking to keep him happy.

I think you’re right. If he never had the hair or the beard I don’t think many people would know his name. It’s weird and sad but it’s true.

Spot on man. I think of Tommy Fleetwood as the English Ricky Fowler. High level of visibility due likeable personalities and great hair. Both have single digit pro wins, a handful of 2nd place finishes at majors. Both are very particular about their clubs and always have interesting WITBs. Great players in their own right, but rare for guys to get camera time and media attention without being at the top of the leader board and/or a dominant resume. If Tommy were to cut his hair and shave he would be running on personality alone. Plus nobody would recognize him.......

Gonna be interesting... he has TSi3 Driver and the TSi2 fairways in the bag today in Dubai.

Titleist has been making big moves forward on the TSi series... Reed was also playing it today.

He became a legend and even more fan favorite after his Ryder Cup performance with Molinari. Smart move by TM to add even more Euro players to their team.

Same reason titleist doesn’t bri non the 6-7 pro v1 variations to retail - 80% of pro v users can hardly tell the difference between the v1 and the v1x, so carrying a bunch of extra SKUs wouldn’t be profitable

Tommy has an amazing looking swing which doesn’t count for nothing when it comes to popularity and marketing

 

why is that sad? Should popularity only be based on scoring average and wins, or instead based on who people like to watch, personality etc

That is wrong, since he bagged it the first time he has been playing TSi3 driver and TSi2 spoon for all his tournaments and it was also true today at DP World Tour Championship.

 

And considering how well he is driving that TSi3 he might be up for a challenge.

Anyone remember the deal baddeley got with McGregor way back in the day? IIRC, he had exclusive distribution rights for product into Australia. Not saying TM and fleetwood did anything close to that. Just reminiscing on how old I am that I remember that stuff.

Good for TM. They’ve had the best roster in recent years.
Fleetwood is an excellent replacement for Rahm. He is a quality player with a lot of rooms to grow, now that he has a chance to pick the brain of some of the greats.
