223 Much more blade looking than MMC.  If you are excited about the 223, all I can say is they are better than in pics.  225 is between the HMB and MMC.  I was so excited about irons I didn’t even think to ask about hifli.  225 is also much shorter blade length than prior HMB which was way too long in my opinion.  The other thing about 225 is the back.  HMB looked to have a huge back section that stuck out.  It’s not as big in 225.  
 

all said, I only saw 7 irons in each, so can speak for whole set. 
 

oh, and the 225 was in a project x IO shaft.  No idea if that means anything, but found that interesting. 
 

rep was cool, but wasn’t going to answer all my questions so I left him alone.  He was nice enough to show me.

I’m not sure if it’s standard or custom but I do know it is a “no upcharge” shaft along with the LS shaft. It’s on the Mizuno USA site in custom options for the JPX line.

Looks like another exciting mizuno release. The top line never bothered me playing the hmb but make no mistake about it, it’s a hollow body.  The switch to mp20 brought back the mizuno feel for me, and just not that much less forgiving.  Love the new look but gonna need a performance upgrade to get mp20 out the bag, and that’s a debate for another thread.  Love the new look though.

Heard today that c-taper may be eliminated from the offerings with project x lz being used as a replacement.  Goal for the february launch is to be able to fulfill orders in 10 days.

LZ has been an offering for ages. Maybe PX LS is coming in to replace C Taper.

Per the Mizuno press release, its designed to take a hybrid shaft. So I think the hybrid shaft option will likely be it, with maybe some extra steel

Also been waiting to hear when I can demo these. Honestly would be happy to get fitted into any of these or the zx7s too.

This is what I'm looking for, too. I've learned the hard way to never buy an iron I haven't hit off grass. Was hoping to hit these before we shut down for the winter and while my swing is in decent shape. If I can't hit these off grass till March, that would be a bummer ...

Wasn't expecting such a large extended sole on the 223 model. Between that and the elastomer, the 223 is giving me a very "PING-y" i210 vibe.

 

i210 with a smooth forged feel?

I don't think there is elastomer. Vosh said Mizuno doesn't like them or foam or anything like it.

I believe these are Japan only MP-55 replacements.

The Japanese site mentions an electro forming TPU insert, sounds a lot like elstomer to me.

 

Though it I think it's only in the 7-4.
