Just means you're up for rejection in a couple of months.

I think I'm 10 for 10 now. Just submitted my application for 2022 and would expect rejection letter in a month.

At beginning, I used to tell my wife we should prepare a contingency plan in case we win the tickets. Now, I don't bother to tell my wife I entered us.

I was rejected from 1995 (first year) through 2019 (25 consecutive years) until I was selected for 2020 Tuesday practice round.  The 2020 tickets were honored for the 2021 Masters.  However my 2020 tickets were not selected for the 2021 Masters.  So essentially I was rejected the first 27 years.  Fortunately my tickets will be applied to the 2022 Masters since I did reapply.  It may take a while but ever applying means never being selected for Masters badges.

So I got an email in regards to 2022 Masters Tickets..

Does that mean I was picked in lottery?

I ordered 2 tickets for Sunday, but I'm not sure if that means I'm in..

You should have almost immediately received a confirmation email indicating when you would know if you were selected. Also explained in the FAQs and info about 2022 on the site where you set up your account.  If you didn't receive any confirmation you probably better check your account and make sure you actually submitted.

Hawkeye77 is correct. A confirmation email is sent immediately to all applicants. Those who applied for tickets to the Masters Tournament will not receive emails until after the application process ends, which is June 21st, whether they were selected or not.  This will be some time in July.  The following should have been the email those who applied received:

"The Masters Tournament Ticket Office has received your application request for tickets.

The selection for Practice Rounds and Daily Tournament tickets will take place after the June 21st application deadline and all applicants will be notified in July via email when the process is completed.

Confirmation and payment instructions will be posted to successful applicant accounts at that time.

Thank you for your interest in Masters Tournament tickets.

This email was system generated.  Please do not reply."

I am 0 for Forever.

I have informed my wife that I have submitted my losing request for this year as always.

Luckily for me a buddy of mine won tickets a few years back so I have been able to attend once. Most definitely worth it.

When I did my rejection application for tickets, I did not understand the part about the 2021 ticket holders.

Do the 2021 ticket holders automatically get tickets or do they get automatically placed in the lottery with the 2022 applicants?

2021 ticket holders are automatically eligible to buy the same tickets they had in 2021. They then have the option of accepting or declining.

As a simple example, if there were 1000 tickets for the Tuesday practice round and 900 eligible 2021 ticket holders, only 100 tickets would be available to those of us who have entered the 2022 lottery.

1998 and 2007 for Tuesday practice rounds. I never really considered the Thursday - Sunday tickets to be an option. It's great to be on the grounds and get a feel for the terrain and routing. TV does such a great job covering the four rounds that it's better to see it at home. I've been to a couple of US Opens on Sunday and when you hear the roars from other holes you wished you had a TV to see what happened. Different now with cell phones maybe.

No phones at the Masters of course. Something to consider... one of our group of guys went to the bathroom and got turned around coming back. He figured we ditched him. We waited for 30 minutes in the bleachers at #13 green right where he left us. Multiple bleachers there. He went back to the wrong set. He headed off down #13 fairway looking for us. Never saw him again until we met at the car that night. Without phones you can't call and get in touch with anyone. He was mad, but we told him about watching Mickelson's practice group at #13 green. He saw them in the fairway on his search. He lightened up after that. 😆

It really is easy to get twisted up at the National.

I was walking the grounds and found Amen Corner, hung out there for a while then wanted to see more of the course.  I began walking around but ended up back at Amen Corner, so I essentially walked around in a circle and didn't realize it.

I have the same exact experience as RobotDoctor.  Finally selected (Wednesday practice/Par 3) and have to wait two extra years. Ironically, after I submitted my application for 2020, I joked that I was about to be rejected for the 25th time.

Same boat here. I look it at is technically have had tickets for Spring 2020, Fall 2020, 2021 and 2022😄

Anyhow looking forward to 2022

Going to the Masters would be great, but the consolation of not getting tickets and watching the Masters on TV is pretty good as well.

Yes, if there was a positive to the lack of spectators at the most recent masters, was betwen the drones and the cameras themselves you could see more into the grounds and adjacent holes, elevation changes at Augusta.... I liked it.
