Ever bought the same club twice?

So I bought the first Callaway square driver.  Sold it when the new one came out.  Couldn’t hit the new one so bought the old square one back.  Had a fitting at the Callaway Centre (as was) in Vegas and they said the numbers were perfect for me. So, obviously I then bought a back up.

Both had been sold within a year for a Ping.

I also traded a G25 4 wood once and ended up buying it back.  That was a fantastic club.  Still miss it to be honest.

Wait same club? Or the EXACT same club (like same serial number)?

Yes to the first - no to the second...near as I know.

I meant the EXACT same club but am really enjoying the answers.  My situation was literally the same club as in the one I once owned!

I have purchased more Eye2s, Zing2s, ISIs, Anser Xs, Ansers, Scottsdale Ansers, and Anser 2s than I can remember.  It's a sickness with no cure...

I am absolutely the same (apart from the AX - never had one of those).

Off the top of my head, I've had 4 different sets of becu Eye 2s, 4 ISIs, and about a dozen different Scottsdale Ansers (the remake - I still have my only original one).

My 4 wood was the EXACT same club.  Square driver was a different club.  So that means I bought three of one of the least attractive clubs ever made (but it was straight!)

Same here....that would be quite funny to mess around and buy the exact same club twice!  This is the life of a left...if you like a club..you betta buy an identical backup when they go on sale or you will never find it ever again.  I mainly do this in with clubs that I put a lot of stress on such as woods and fairway woods as I eventually cave the face in on em.  Never had to do this with irons, hybrids, I have two Callaway 1.5 mini drivers left over that will eventually play and I also have clubs that I fear won't be made such as lefty Edel wedges or Callaway XR long drive heads which my intuition was correct!

Yup. Had a mavrik 4 wood, sold it and bought another one a few months later just with a different shaft. Not sure Going from Mavrik Max driver and then to std. Mavrik counts but I've also done that.

We're going on a Minimalist Adventure who knows were we'll end up:

Exact club, once, didn't realize it at the time until it arrived.  It was a Louisville Smart Driver with an EI-70 shaft, 9.5* loft.  Had bought it from 2nd Swing, traded it for a set of irons, and traded a set of irons for it, not realizing it was the exact club I'd unloaded a couple years prior.

Its travels included going out of country, it went to Canada from me, I got it back from someone in the Maryland area.

Several times.

Titleist TS2 7 Wood

TaylorMade Original One Mini Driver

And I recently bought a Mizuno STZ 3 wood for the second time ... I want to give it one more shot but with a different shaft.

I'm always falling in and out of love with different putters and fairway woods. Driver is also always rotating, but there's always some new technology around, so when I switch I don't go back to older models.

On many occasions. Normally it’s been fairway woods. I try something new and sell off my old one only to buy another one months later. Now I own 3 Cobra FlyZ + 3 woods to not make that error again. Definitely my go to fairway wood. Made the same mistake with hybrids too.

Sadly yes...several times.  Most famously I was playing in our annual golf buddies "tournament" and had an absolute sh*t round of putting with a center shafted Odyssey that I was trying.  Since I didn't have a backup putter with me I went into the pro shop Sunday morning and bought the exact same putter that I had back at home and threw it in the bag.  Paid full retail but I beat my buddy that day and my team won the trophy so I guess it was worth it in the end.  I still catch crap for that but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Lol. I bought the same set of irons twice in the same week.  And if I could find them I’d buy them a third time. ( raw vega mB hand ground prototypes.  4-pw with tar heel blue paint fill in the numbers and otherwise blank , no other stamps  )

Those sound awesome. Pics please!

I bought the irons pictured below twice. They were my first set ever. Sold them, didn’t like what I got as much, bought another set of the PROs. Still one of my favorite irons and would play them today.

Mizuno 300S driver.

First time, when it came out back in the day, upgraded the shaft to a Fuji Speeder 727, used it for a week, and sold it at a nice profit.

Second time was last year just as a novelty for $16, because it's such a beautiful club.

Mavrik sub zero 3 wood…..third one on the way

first one I had the shaft oulled and installed a shortened Ventus I like and put a heavier weight in the back port. The threaded post was too long and literally came through the top of the crown….bought another head, had the shafts pulled and I glued in the Ventus. 4th round made an idiot mark (haven’t done that in about ten years). It’s so bad you just stare at it at address. I really love the feel of the 3 wood and it’s so hard to find a 3 wood you like so yup…..another one arriving tomorrow. Go get the shafts pulled and glue in my Ventus and there’s your $1000 3 wood

damn thing is cursed I tell ya
