While you are in here white knighting patrick reed and antagonizing other posters. All based on some crock pot idea that when evaluating personal relationships, we should use the same principle that exists to prevent the government from wrongfully fining or imprisoning citizens. Essentially campaigning that Rory isn't giving Preed a fair shake, because of his association with a known scumbag lawyer. Something that literally has absolutely nothing to do with you? And you are now trying to turn this on me as being the overly involved party?

I didn't care for Reed from the very first time I saw him play. He just seemed a bit 'bratty'. That said, I STILL don't get why people are hounding him for the subpoena. Even if it was for a Reed lawsuit, I seriously doubt that Reed is giving the attorney instructions on when to serve subpoenas and to attempt to hand them out on the most important holidays in order to disrupt family gatherings.

Rory doesn't want to talk with, or interact with, Patrick Reed... and he didn't.  What's the problem?  All he did was remain silent.  What's the guy supposed to do in that situation that would satisfy his detractors?

If you think the lawsuit Reed's lawyer filed himself and what he does on behalf of Reed have no connection then you are just ignoring the obvious on purpose.

That's because these kinds of things are driven by the need for instant eyes on the screen and clickbait hungry "media" and humans that seem to demand it - I don't see the harm to "golf", that's the way it's been for a long time and won't get better.  GC is as bad as anyone --- they get some little attention getting story and blah, blah, blah over and over because the lowest common denominator cares about them.

By the look of it he was putting his watch into a valuables pouch in his bag. If Reed were nearby, my full attention would be on that pouch too.

Bingo. I am not a superstar millionaire like Rory, but there are plenty of people that bring zero value or positivity to my life, so I simply don't interact with them. 

 

I belong to a club, lots of golfers, lots of cool guys, some real jackwagons. When I see the jackwagons on the range or putting green or grill, I carry on with what I am doing. It's not malice, it's not being a child, it's just is what it is. I don't need (or want) to be friends with everyone.

Not only possible, but highly probable. Most likely under advice from counsel......all PGAT players would be advised not to have any contact with PR, anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law.....
