Sara Walsh’s golf rant - unfortunate truths

Took Ms. aenemated with me for a round a while back. After about an hour, she was like "You're not supposed to take your goth in the sun!" 😂

 

Crazy that an adult can respect what another adult enjoys doing. She likes to go out dancing to old school new wave and post punk - I'd rather be fed into a wood chipper than do that. When she wants to do such a thing, I'm all "Go! Have fun!" Same thing she says to me when I go play.

There's still a lot of people out there (men and women) that don't have one, and sadly they can kind of become very dependent in relationships. I actually have seen this happen quite a bit. 

 

It's definitely a pretty healthy thing to have something you like doing on your own.

This is a great idea for people that can afford it.  Unfortunately most of the golfing population cannot afford to drop tens of thousands on a golf membership at a private club.

I did it for 3 seasons at a non-private club, as recently as 3 years ago. Spend time getting to know people, and it’s amazing what opportunities present itself.

Maybe just maybe she is a just miserable person / wife and he justs wants to stay away for a while...its not always the man that is the problem. 

She is obviously used to having her butt powdered by most everyone and maybe just maybe he has some backbone and does not put up with it.

Honestly it is not even that funny, she could have gone much harder and deeper, and I would have enjoyed it more.  

 

This is just clickbait, like everything else anywhere. 

 

Regardless of your politics, CNN is a major news site.  In the "Sponsored Content" area of the home page there is a tile that says, "15 most paused moments in film history", with a still of Sharon Stone .5 seconds before the cooch shot (sometimes it is Phoebe Cates).  Anything to drive views, clicks, and ad revenue.  And this thread is perpetuating the practice.

My wife married me, so she obviously has very low expectations already.

 

If I get home from a round of golf moderately sober and within 8 hours of departure I get a gold star. I'm up to 2 this year.

Joking aside two of my regular partners are under pressure to play less golf, or head off home as soon as they leave the course. Their wives see a 45 minute Pilates or Yoga class as the acceptable time for exercise. Both men have stressful jobs and need the time to unwind. I can see ructions in the coming weeks.
