Who Cares About Watching Some STUPID CHARITY EVENT That Nobody Cares if THEY WIN OR LOSE..??

Hey... This is not about saying anything about not helping and giving to a charity...

That's Great... We should support people in need through any worthwhile charity..

But who cares about watching some DUMB GOLF EVENT where the people playing could care less if they win or lose...

I would rather Golf Channel, ESPN or whoever put on the girls/ladies playing on the Cactus Tour to watch as they are REALLY PLAYING TO WIN with ALL THEIR HEART..!!

Hundreds of thousands of people would rather watch celebrities "not care" about playing golf than watch no names "care" to win a golf tournament.

 

Putting things on television is about viewership, not who cares more.

Virtually all sporting events are pure entertainment...and the results are meaningless except to the participants and related parties. Did the Bulls winning 6 in the 90s change my life? No...but it was fun to watch, even though I was a Knicks fan. Sometimes a sporting event transcends the sport...like Jesse Owens in Berlin.

I enjoy the diversion...but I have to say it's nice having a break from what seems like an endless, non-stop barage of sporting events that consume my leisure time. I've watched almost no television the past couple of months (and that includes streaming services), and have started exercising and reading again.

Unfortunately, as soon as sports resume I'll probably be glued to my set and phone apps as before.

... Amen brother. Let's get back to complaining about 30 yd fliers from distance irons. MB's are perfect for mid index great ball strikers. Forged is better than cast. Drivers maxed out in 2000. Forgiveness is all hype. TM sucks. Nike sucks. Won't play a club that looks perfect at address and performs great if the sole or cavity is ugly. All hybrids are hooks machines. I remember a lot of folks saying similar things about the original skins game back in 1983. I loved watching that one because Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus were playing in it! Having Gary Player and Tom Watson along side only added to the attraction. I don't care much about watching Tiger and Phil but I would imagine that for younger folks it would be the same attraction as Palmer and Nicklaus for most of us back in the day. I may watch this one as it would be interesting to see the course that Hogan thought so much of. One other thing about the skins game was that I had never heard of a skins game before that event took place. Right after that everybody was playing skins and talking about their birdie on 16 to win 8 skins at work on Monday. To this day there are skins games going on on every course in the country every day so I think the original did effect the golf landscape in that way. I doubt that the upcoming match will have much effect on the game though...
