Saw some new Callaway Woods last night (The Epic Thread)

The SZ is beautiful, love the green. Looks to be a marginal improvement over my current M1 in what is in my opinion a better looking package. I hope it has the traditional Callaway sound and feel.

 

My only concern was the graphic stating 11 yards more draw than M1. Maybe I need to brush up on my Korean so I can figure out what that is all about, but I am hoping the club is not draw biased.

 

Fairways look good too, I will need to hit both before deciding on a new 3.

Hearing Callaway is going hard this year to be the #1 driver on tour. Seems pretty lofty to me considering the success of the M2 on tour but hey I wish them the best. Look forward to hearing how all of this works for the Callaway Trip.

That is a tall order to be #1 on tour. We will see how serious they hype is in no time though

The hype on this one may be warranted given the direct comparison claims in the video vs. M1/2 and it will be interesting to see the testing methodology behind the claims. Looking forward to being able to hit it myself and making my own assessment since that is all that really matters for each one of us.

I think they already have in some way. Pat Perez still rocks a callaway bag and pm grind wedges but won with pxg irons and m2 woods in the bag

Definitely some interesting tech they have in these drivers. We shall see if they actually perform, but I will be trying them.

Love the look of the SZ Driver, and will definitively test it once it arrives in Italy, very interested. The SZ 3-wood will be in the bag for sure, best looking FW wood ever imo.

I would assume that's all being revisited.. Tee up money is essential regardless of how good the driver is just as it is with putters, irons, whatever.

Anybody catch whether or not the tip is adjustable on the GBB SZ Fairway? Or is it bonded?

 

Hard to determine from the one clip in the video. Looks like there is a screw but can't guarantee.

Saw this thing in hand today, definitely looks GREAT! Fit and finish seem way better than what I've seen from Callaway in the past. The top crown sort of reminds me of the way the carbon fades with the new Fusion driver. The shape is very nice and every thing looks really good. I was going to hit it but had to leave before my buddy was taking it out. The head cover looks cool too.. looks like a winner from Cally for sure.

My rep is incredibly confident. They've got work to do in almost every department to catch up to the M1/M2, LTD, and the GLS. We'll see. I'll have one in hand a little early with a GD TP-7.
