Limits rotation a bit but minimal, speed won't be affected much when strength is fully back, but other lumbar discs will be under more stress.

 

Unfortunately if the cause of his injuries isn't corrected, he will injure the other discs eventually, but he may have a run hopefully.

I know we've seen this all before, but perhaps this is the time he finally realizes he needs to swing smooth and hit fairways. I was never a Tiger fan although I admired his game as it was likely the greatest we've ever seen. If he were to make a comeback, it could really help draw people back to the game. For that alone I'd like to see another run.

Not for nothing but IMHO the back situation is actually the least of the concerns fans should have for a full return. One has but to read the tox report and the back ailment(s) really pale in comparison. I truly hope he got the help he needed for that issue because, in my experience, those sorts of problems are FAR more difficult to treat and "cure". They tend to creep back in, are easily masked and hidden and the #1 thing those afflicted do is deny and pretend.

 

I am NOT being harsh here - I have said many times a Tiger return would be good, no great, for the game. But only if that return isn't obscured by more embarrassment. I, for one, would love to see him win another major. Would cause a real uproar in the game and the announcement booths. (Not to mention here!)

So here is a question, it seems like all the pain and problems he was having were in the area that has now been fused. Those problems seemed to come about from the foley swing which he is no longer doing. Hypothetically speaking he should be good to go now right?
