VENTUS!!!!! It is freaking taking over.. It is funny to see him with the red. He was playing the Haz green for a bit last year.. I was just wondering yesterday when a ventus 2.0 may be coming. You cant sit on a product too long  but dang these things are spreading fast..

Plus there is no cooler combo the the TSi3 and ventus red.. Disgustingly good combo..

TSi3 definitely hits it low and spins low. I think the red is going to be a good fit in that head for a lot of people.

Phil, Lexi, Sergio, and now JT along with countless others making the switch.  Just goes to show how versatile the entire Ventus line truly is.

I'm waiting to see Rahm switch before being convinced it's legit.

Has anyone tried this combo with the 2” tipping as per TXG? Intrigued to say the least. Ventus purple takeover.

I had a Blue 6X tipped 2.5" as per Fuji's recommendations and it was great.  I ended up in the Black due to better dispersion/accuracy.  But it's fun to see players try things early in the season.  Winter is always testing time for them.

JT plays the ProV 1X (higher spin ball).  He also likely values a little accuracy, and has optimized spin to hit fairways and know where his ball is going.

JT has always been a bit wild off the tee. If the new set up helps that, he could be even more dangerous this year..

It makes sense a lot of the pros are testing out the ventus line since it's material is much stronger than T1100 material.  It's basically the next wave of technology for shafts.

I tried very hard to love the ventus blue velocore but it goes from a very stiff tip to an very soft mid section in a hurry and that soft mid section gave me fits.  While I would hit an occasional bomb, the number of poor shots was way higher than my evenflow white (which has a lot more consistent profile throughout).  I do think the ventus black would likely give me a few extra yards compared to the evenflow white T1100.  It's on my bucket list to try out eventually but I'm in no rush as I've hit more fairways than ever before with the evenflow white.

I had the same experience with the blue, I hit a few bombs with it but I could not get the timing/feel down. Swtiched to the black, and my accuracy improved drastically. Didn't hurt I was squeezing a few extra yards out as well.

Just wait for the feeding frenzy when Tiger throws one in for a practice round like he did with the Oban back in the day.

The Tiger effect is so real. Lamkin Deep Etched Cords started selling out when tiger put it on his Scotty a couple months ago. With a new driver launch coming for TM I wouldn't be surprised to see him doing a little shaft testing in the coming weeks.

Where did they talk about this? What is the purple?

Good watch throughout.  If you want to get to the meat of my lame purple posts fwd. to about 2:33 in.  Essentially the purple is a Ventus Red tipped 2" to play more like a lower launch shaft.

What was the playing length after 2.5" tipping.  I would consider this red/purple experiment, only concern is length.  Can I order the Red tipped 2" and still plat at 45"?

Assuming uncut 46' shaft doesn't factor in club head or adapter?  No club builder here if you haven't noticed.

if you tip it 2" you will hav 44" raw shaft left, which in most drivers that will still play minimum 45.25" so you still have a little to work with

Wish a mere mortal could order the TSI3 directly from Titleist with a ventus. Local store looked up the premium shaft offerings and it was no one to be found

It is kinda lame. I went to a fitter and tried a load of different shafts. My TSi3 went from $750 to $1150 (CDN) in a heartbeat with the $400 shaft upgrade. Would have been nice to get a bit of a break on the whole thing straight from Titleist like they're doing with the Graphite Design shafts.
