Evnroll ER1TS.  Rollin them real well.  The confidence is high.

Aldila Rogue White 70TX in the 💎💎💎.  It’s so smooth.

Callaway Supersoft ball.  They just go straight for me from top to bottom.

It has been a hit and miss for me to find a great 5W but few weeks ago I found the perfect mate to my Exotics XCG5 3W. I got in a very good shape an Exotics XCG6 5W that is incredible.

TEE is not that popular in Australia, not easy to find and the few shops that sell them don’t carry 5W, so my finding was perfect for my game.

The biggest surprise to me is just how much better the Titleist Pro V1 is compared to LITERALLY anything else.

It is not even close.

+1  Was playing the TP5x for the past 4 years.  Went out to Las Vegas to play in practice rounds and a tournament on hard and fast greens.  Was really shocked at how much better the Pro v1 is off the scoring irons.....needless to say, I'm back to the Pro V1x......it was eye opening how much better that ball is.

I'm currently awaiting the arrival of the Bettinardi in my sig after a SAM putter fitting.  Learned so, so much about my putting stroke and how ill-fitting my previous putter was.  Can't WAIT to roll the new one!

I have two:

1. Ping G425 7 wood (7 wood head, 5 wood shaft length). My 200 yard club. Easy to get in the air, tight dispersion, impressive length.

2. Gamer Arizonan putter. A small batch boutique putter maker in the UK. Incredible balance, clean lines, solid feel, rare site dot.

Was shocked when my new irons arrived with REGULAR shafts. I haven't had regular shafts since the 70's. Come to think of it, that was more than 40 years ago... maybe I was overdue. 😉

But there they are, DG 105R shafts in the new 0211's that I was fit for. Played my first round with them sunday and my normal post round neck and shoulder soreness was absent. I also didn't notice a significant difference in feel, trajectory and distance was very good. I did notice though, that I can hit a fade with irons now, which is a shot I have struggled with forever.

The second surprise is that the new PXG 0811X Proto has a Hazardous Smoke Yellow Stiff shaft. I would not have believed it would take my "old faithful" out of the bag, but it is long and the PXG 3* flat setting really eliminates the fear of the dreaded hook and produces a beautiful baby fade. I'm looking forward to having the chance to hit this on the range and on the course. I love the feel, sound and watching the flight I am producing with this club.

Three surprises - one I have and the second is coming together by the end of the week and the last still has me puzzled:

  1. TM Spider EX - spent ~2 hours at the PGA SS and tried everything.  If the Odyssey Two Ten had a white hot face like the OG's I probably wouldn't have bought this putter.  Of course I go home, rip off the grip, add a 3" extension then regrip and add some lead tape before taking it out.  Been averaging around 31 putts/round and really happy with my first serious love affair with a face balanced putter (after playing an Anser/Newport style for the past 30 years).
  2. Titleist 917 F2 16.5* w/ Tour AD DI 7x - I play a AD DI 6x in my TSi3 and found a great deal on a 7x shaft and an old 917 F2 head.  Hoping it will fill a gap in my bag for a soft landing ball that will cover 235-250 yards (my 15* TS2 goes about 265-275 and isn't too great for going for par 5's in two shots).
  3. '21 ProV1, V1X, TP5x - tried all these balls and like them all for different reasons.  But one constent between them all...they all have improved in cross-winds and hold lines much better than older models.

1) PXG Proto 5 wood with a Diamana S+ Limited Gen 2. Giving my 2hybrid a serious run for the spot in the bag as of late.

2) Snell MTB X and Black golf balls. Love them both. Definitely a little more carry with the X off the tee but approach and putter like the Black a touch better. Will probably settle with the Black for 21 after I use up the rest of my X stash.

Great putter, love mine. Even at 335g it's still a touch heavy for me so I ordered a Son of a GOAT too.

There is a reason every other company says "just as good as" or uses the Pro V1 as the bench mark for performance.

I have the Arizonan in 335 and 350 and they are both good.

Also have an original GOAT at 326. Very special putters.
