Like others have said. Him liking those tweets, then deleting them, is why he wasn't picked. 

 

He will have a hard time playing on Ryder or Pres cup unless he qualifies. You can be a turd so many times before everyone gets tired of smelling you.

It would have been for jury duty, but whatever.  Regardless, I totally, just completely get it.  Sucks to be the first one not chosen.

I'm no doctor, but I have a really hard time believing that coming off the severity of his COVID - sorry, double pneumonia - he has any chance of playing more than three matches, and I've gotta think it's tough to go in with guys you know you'll have to sit.

 

As others have said, the craziest thing is that nobody really knows what Brooks's wrist is like. All Reed had to do was STFU or, even better, make a team player-oriented statement.

Nah I think Tom Lehman/Furyk were just as bad. DL3 is the best Ryder Cup captain we've had in the past 20 years. Sure we lost Medinah, but if Justin Rose doesn't make those putts on 17/18, the US wins in 2012.

He's worse then Bryson IMO. Bryson can be annoying at times, but Patrick Reed is toxic. I think Bryson is socially awkward and unaware a lot of times. Reed knows how to get under people's skin and is a downright horrible person.

Which is why Stricker picked Scottie Scheffler.  Reed shouldn't have said he almost died a couple of weeks ago.  This made Stricker worried that Reed may not be fully recovered in time.  Strategic mistake by Reed.

Just curious how he would stab you in the back? It is golf. If he plays great golf, hits the shots when needed, and wins matches, he helps the team. Perhaps he might now be great for team dynamics, but everyone there just wants to win. All these guys are adults, the best golfers in the world, and proven to be able to play in tough conditions.  I'm not even really a Patrick Reed fan, but the guy can play.

1) First off, this is golf not combat. It's not a mortal kombat tournament where the losing team takes over the opposing country or countries until the next set of matches. 

 

2) Lefty got snubbed after winning a major championship and being the second best player of the last quarter century. Simply put, Reed didn't do enough to make the team from a merit standpoint and secondly, he didn't fit Stricker's model well enough to earn a pick.

They didn't. Seems like the ET has done very well in the RC w/o some of their captains not winning a major. Bernard Gallacher, Sam Torrance, Paul McGinley, Thomas Bjorn. All are winning RC captains and none of them won a major. McGinley only won 4 times on the ET. Stricker has as many PGA Tour wins as Kucher and Howell have combined (12).
