My guess is that the over/under on Rahm is 3.0 points for the week.  I'll take the over.  Pairing him with Sergio is a no brainer, and if the crowd gets ugly, I think the two get fiery.

I don't disagree about Hazeltine. It's just OK. But Whistling Straits is majestic. The course will not disappoint this week. I was just out there today. Looks great. The overall setup of the grounds is very impressive.

If you see some of my earlier posts on all of the RC threads you’ll see that, while I don’t like either Garcia or Poulter, I have nothing but the greatest respect (and 2021 fear) of their Ryder Cup prowess.

I totally agree with this. I think bc all the money is coming in on the US, it's just the relationship between that and how to equalize the bets, with less relationship to actual predictions.

If $10mm comes in on the US and $5mm comes in on Europe, they lay slightly less than 2:1 and 1:2 respectively, and no matter what happens they make the juice.

I think that's exactly what's happening, and it's homerism to some degree, since the non sharp money is American with our casinos and disposable income.

All that said... I feel like the true odds are basically 1:1, a coin flip, unless Europe should actually be favored.

Our team (US) is young, which is good (youth never shows up in odds outside of second year running backs) and long, but the Euro team is loaded with experience.

I'd be concerned about Morikawa's back, Koepka's knee, Dechambeau's hands, and a lack of camraderie.

I think the Europeans should worry about a lack of length outside of Rahm and Rory.

I think it's a given that Rahm will play well. If Rory does too, they're gonna be tough.

If DJ and JT show up big, I feel way less good about my bet, lol.

Whistling Straits is awesome! I'll give you that. But the I'm looking forward to Bethpage in '25 and Adare Manor in '27 the most. Bethpage for the atmosphere and Adare Manor because of how similar it is to Augusta.

I think the USA should win, but I'm hearing the weather is going to be cool and breezy. This redresses the balance somewhat.

 

I can already picture Bryson looking incredulously at his caddie questioning how his 9 iron came up 20 yards short from 190 out.
