Got a session in the sim tomorrow with these.  Hit the TSR2 the other day with Ventus black 6x and loved it.  Going to try the 1k black in 6x.

what’s the difference be 1k white?   I need low launch and low spin.

IIRC, Black is stiffer in the tip than 1K Pro White.

Smart move on his part, he always seemed to play better when he had the 915D2 in the bag. Ever since he went to the 3 model chasing distance, his driving seemed to suffer.

Anyone wanna share experience testing tsr3 vs tsr2+?  Can get a little on the spinny side and am nervous that the tsr2+ may spin too much. Love the idea of a bigger 3 wood off the tee tho

I tried to hit the TSR2+ this week, but it was a clear no go for me. Spin was lower than my driver at around 1800-2200. I didn't hit the 3 so can't compare there, but I did hit the 2 and it was much better with around 3000-3400 spin. My driver swing speed is about 108.

What driver are you playing in what loft?

I have a Stealth regular set at 9.75. I'd go to a Golf Galaxy or somewhere you can hit the + for free and see what the spin numbers are for you. I was surprised it was so low, but I was also using crappy range balls and a whiteboard profile shaft when I would usually hit a blue.

Interestingly, I got around 150-200 less rpm with the TSR2, loft for loft with the same shaft compared to tsr3 . Average mph was higher for the tsr3. Opted for the TSR2, and Titleist very graciously warrantied my tsi3 and let me swap to the TSR2 instead of the 3 this past week.

For me, the 1k black launched a little lower, with slightly less spin than my Ventus Black 7x. They were tipped the same amount.  I played at C1 for past season with the 7x and had to go up to B1 in the 1k. But my 1k is the 75tx. If the x doesn't work for you, you might want to try the tx.

They are very similar in launch and spin. Tsr3 launches just a touch higher. Ballspeed is almost identical. If you can get the right launch window from.tsr2+ then you'll be amazed at just how straight it is.

Tsr3 better all around. Tsr2+ really straight but launches a bit low and may not be good from the deck if you need some peak height. For a primarily tee club...tsr2+ all day.

The right move for him.  The Announcers on golf channel coverage of Pebble Beach just said they can’t remember him driving it as well as he has so far this week.

Just tested both. TSR2+ launched lower with higher spin and TSR3 launched higher with lower spin. Was making better contact w the TSR3 and like the look better. Turned down the 13.5 to 12.75 and was getting really good launch and spin (about 12 and 2800) with +4-5 ball speed. Gonna settle on the tsr3 for now.

Had my time today and I leave even further confused.  I hit the TSR2 with Ventus black 6x last week and got my best results to date.

today wanted to hit that Tensi 1k black and just couldn’t get it to match the results.  Was spinning it too much.

the TSR4 was interesting.  It was the best results I had with the TSR line.

hit an 8° triple diamond paradigm that was interesting but now im further confused.

I promised myself I would take the results from testing and go with them.  Am I still intrigued by everything else out there… absolutely but I am confident that I walked out with what I needed to walk out with.  Just wanted to say I feel your pain tho

That’s what I need to tell myself.  That on given day results could be different.  Stop second guessing.  Find something that is better than the spin producing machine I have and go with the beat results of the day are.   That said…I’m good at telling myself that. Not great at execution

Little update after 4 rounds with the driver and 2 with the fairway.

pulled the trigger and got a matching TR2 15deg FW. Same stock HZRDUS shaft 6.5. This 3 wood is much hotter than the mavrik sun zero I had. Unlike the TSR 2 driver - the fairway wood definitely has that forgiveness and easy to launch vibe. Comes out very high and easy to launch but with less spin than I’d expect. It’s a cannon. Struggle to shape and flight it though which I like to do with my 3 wood but guys - it’s just so Straight, long and easy….. lots of fun.

The driver continues to be insane. Gone from 44% fairways hit to 80% in my last four rounds (textbook WRX honeymoon period).
Straight, hot off the entire club face with little spin deviation. LOVE it.
the flights penetrating at 9 degree - This club won’t balloon on you like previous models. It’s a unicorn - no doubt about it especially now the chosen one has put it into play this week at Pebble.

if anybody is on the fence - just go hit it - the TSR2 is for anybody. Delighted is an understatement.

what’s the difference be 1k white?   I need low launch and low spin.

I posted a detailed review of these shafts with testing data back in November when I got my TSR3.  Link below.

Edit - just realized you asked about white vs black…. Still going to leave this link here but it won’t answer your specific question.

Is it possible to build a “UW” with a tsr3 16.5 degree? Thinking cut it down about 1.5” so same length as a 17 UW and add headweight back ?

Personally I think the head is a bit big in comparison to the UW. You do have the option with the hybrids to create a UW equivalent though

I’ve been happy with my tsr3 10 degree but I do miss that once in a while low spin bomb that I typically got from TM drivers. Debating whether to go tsr2 but in lower loft in the search of that bomb shot but with consistent forgiveness…

anyone else find success going down in loft with the 2?

I've fit a handful of bombers into 8 degree TSR2 heads .....even with stock 1k black 65X

Due to illness, surgeries, and other problems I am no longer a member of the average WRXer bomber of golf balls.  I just received the green light to swing a club.  Everything has to be lighter now.  I still have my 983K.

I was testing a ParaDym TD and liked all about it, except it isn't a Titleist.  Along comes the TSR1.  Looks like the TSR2 and forgiveness is similar, but it seems to weigh about the same as the carbon PD.  I was driving the ball as far and farther than the PD TD.  Similar shafts and lofts.  Titleist did with Titanium and Aircraft Aluminum what two other companies did with carbon.  Nice job Titleist.

Picked up a TSR3 3 wood at the weekend. I did some work for a guy at my club, he had bought one to test on his simulator at home, decided against it and we decided on a little swap. Very happy that I did! I had a hard time thinking that I could get something to boot my 915Fd out of the bag but the TSR3 was the business. Easier to hit, better flight but still with the small profile that I just have to have in a 3 wood. I still need to get more play in with it but at the moment it was instantly claimed a spot in the bag.

Head is too big compared to the Callaway UW. I think the TSR3 Hybrid is closer to the UW. The TSR2 hybrid is a little too big as well.
