I read that too via twitter and from what Golf Digest say in their article on their website is that he will continue using the Tour B X this week but won't be down as a Bridgestone Staff Player. The reason behind the split is because of Bryson's decision to tee it up in the (you know what) Will be interesting how he will go forward with his golf ball choices.

It'll be an Open to remember really whoever wins it. Can't get much better than the Old Course at St Andrews, the course is baked already and quick hoping the greens get a little quicker but not so it becomes crazy like some past US Opens did in the past. Tee times are interesting to say the least with them giving early tee times and Tiger in the afternoon wave. Great to see the legends play last night with Nick Faldo's team winning. He really turned back time. though only a hit and giggle but still good golf from everyone. 

 

really happy seeing a great mix of golfers of all abilities and genders come together and all play the game we all love in their own way. Wouldn't get that in other sports and I hope golf does become open to all and hopefully much cheaper in the future 🙂

Yeah, if you've been playing one ball for however long he's been on that ball, there's no way you change it a couple days before a major. You know the ball and the characteristics. 

 

The more interesting question is whether Bryson has a "special" Tour B X that's customized for him. There are more than a few Tour B X models listed on the conforming ball list, so it's entirely possible he has a special "one-off" that is different than the off the shelf version. If that's the case, he may no longer have access to any more of those customized balls than he already has on hand... 

 

If it's the off the shelf model, I'm sure there's a golf shop near St Andrew's that he can go buy a couple boxes since he won't be getting them for free lol...

McGinley is going with best putter believing the course is short for everyone, but maybe discounting the proximity to the hole issue for those that still may be a little closer.

 

It's only Tuesday and it looked like Brandel held back getting into an argument about it, lol.

I would take that bet, provided that he is solid from 4 feet and in for the week.

 

If he misses one of those pesky 4 footers every round, it's a big handicap to overcome.

Listening to them now and always enjoy Paul! And Brandel is still not really giving in on how the firm conditions are going to sort it out and he is still pounding the power angle vs. putting and short game.  The fact Paul has played links golf all his life doesn't seem to count as much as it should for Brandel, lol, but at least it is entertaining.  Not like the time at I think The Open a few years back when I thought Duval was going to kill him, and basically let Brandel know he had a little more real experience with what they were talking about and it got testy.

I just check the tv times. I’m in Canada. It looks like Golf Channel is carrying the tournament. Can’t be right, or can it? 
Just wanted to get my record times right and not overlook my wife’s “90 Day Fiancé” record times.
