Anyone get anything from Santa that requires an edit to their '24 BISC entry?  I know that at my house, a HZRDUS Yellow is showing up today completely outta nowhere and of course, I have to get it ready to test before the new year now.  

 

Ok, ok, maybe not completely outta nowhere.  I may, or may not, have ordered it for myself a week ago, knowing that I was only getting sweaters, books, and golf towels (seriously, I got 5 of them?!?!? Who actually needs 5 different silly golf towels?  It's not like they are disposable.  Well, I guess they kinda are now......) under the tree.

I sold my TSW wedges and will be replacing the with at least a 58° Max and maybe a 54°

I’d like to make an entry but need to wait to test the new drivers (the darkspeed ls looks too nice to resist), but I’m feeling good this year because I decided to choose tech/forgiveness and a fitting over jdm clubs that spark joy and sprung for some power spec i230s with ct-125 s+s for the 5-pw iron slots, which will blend perfectly into an icrossover 3 turned up 1.5 degrees to 21.5 for gapping, and then a 17 degree previous year Apex UW (those two clubs won’t leave the bag). My wedges and putter are set in stone so that just leaves driver and fairway to figure out in the new year.

 

all of this confidence probably means I’ll have my cb-1007s back in hand by April or May

An outlet condition 10.5* Mavrik sub-zero with Ventus TR Blue 6s was received from Santa (via Ms.Mitchell). She actually bought it because compared to current one and got a great deal 😍After testing on course, I hit it well (and I am a smart guy 😃) so that’s going to be the driver for this challenge.

Causes for concern

As noted above, I have previously not come close to completing this challenge, both times washing out before the end of March.

Prediction 

If I make it into Q2 it will be a moral victory, however the big danger comes with Ping's release of the G730 irons during the next month or two😉. 

OK, based on guidance from our Commissioner (@Dan Drake) I’m editing my original post. My only putter will be the SeeMore FGP and instead of the G710 SW, I’ll be using the Glide 3.0 Eye-2 56* for which I was originally fitted. I will be playing with 11-clubs.

Causes for concern

1.) iBlade/ i210 combo set will be new to start the year- I’ve played (and still have) both sets on their own, but came across the combo set and hoping it will be best of both worlds…concerned I just go back to full i210.

3.)PING demo day sometime in April at my club for the new Blueprint S…

Prediction

I end up playing the bag until the demo day where I also get them to fit the 3 wood shaft and I cave around my first Masters trip lol.

I successfully made it through 2023 with the same clubs, and the plan is to keep the band together through 2024 too. I was close to switching out my 52* wedge but had a stellar showing with it today that's going to keep it in the starting line up.

had to bring my daughters boyfriends clubs down on our flight today, so that “forced / enabled / offered me the opportunity” to bring 8 extra shafts, a driver, a 7 wood, and 3 extra hybrids to test for the 215 spot

Final round of 2023 washed out so the bag will get no further amendments. I’ve made a couple of tweaks, fed up of hitting the 5 iron the same distance as the 6 iron but with less consistency I’ve subbed in a Ping 430 26’ hybrid and added a TSR2  24’ in place of the TSR3.

Causes for concern

Where do I begin? Let’s start with what’s safe: the 7 wood and putter. 

 

TSR3 will be brand new member to the bag. It’ll either be the hero or the zero. 

 

The Cobra hybrid beat out the U505 for the final spot. The U505 is gonna be sitting in the corner like a perv eyeing that spot. 

 

T100 - deadly accurate with these irons and safe for now. But the MP245 are gonna be tested at some point. King Tours lost out today but by a razor thin margin. 

 

Prediction 

I’ll be out by the end of March at the latest.
