Tour Jason Day wearing Malbon Golf apparel – The 2024 Sentry

Idk what to think. I’m a big Nike apparel guy but for some reason, this is a vibe. 
 

As long as this doesn’t turn goofy, then we good.

Malbon isn't really my style but I think this is great to see.  More unique clothing on tour is a good thing and the vintage element of some of those items is refreshing.

That’s the problem. I fully expect this to turn goofy, judging by some of the other pictures released. The stuff he was wearing in his announcement photos looked absolutely ridiculous, IMO.

Interesting. Nike apparel seems to be on the down trend. Personally not a fan any more as their fit seems to be less athletic and more Unisex. Just not my style.

 

Seems like they knew the end could be coming soon with Tiger, since they re-released of the 2013 TW shoe, which was surely their best seller of all time.

 

Maybe it all started with Koepka bitching about those ridiculous floral hats in 2019...

Nike has been mailing it in and doing the bare minimum (their lifestyle and Sb/skate division employees have been doing cross-design for golf) in the golf apparel ever since they left equipment.

 

The Jordan brand has taken over the TW spot in golf and thats all Nike will probably keep going at this point. I mean...Nike didnt even care enough to make TW a shoe when he started wearing FJs.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is a lot (not all) of the Malbon stuff just gear from other brands with the Malbon logo slapped on?

 

For instance, the shoes Jason Day is wearing.

Good point! Yeah everyone loves the Jordan's - I don't see that as anything other than a basketball shoe re-branded as a golf shoe.

Love to see it. I don't care for a lot of what Malbon puts out, but I can say the same for many other golf apparel brands. I personally think joining professional golf with streetwear/fashion is pretty cool.

I was wondering the same thing; on their web site they have Nike and adidas shirts and just like JDays FJ shoes have just put Malbon on them.

Pretty much from what I've seen, I know Malbon has done stuff with New Balance, Adidas, Nike, etc. 

 

So is J-Day just gonna have various brands with Malbon logo on it? Honestly not that bad I think.

I love it!  Nice to see some different styles on tour.  The same old athletic everything is so boring.  Love Keith Mitchell’s attire and now I’m really enjoy seeing someone like JDay doing something different.

Malbon is a weird sponsor.. considering they don’t actually make anything.. they just stitch their logo in and mark it up 40%…

Is it just me or the super skinny can only pull off Malbon. That and sponsor logos clash tremendously.
